After the recent election to fill a vacant seat at the Cross River State House of Assembly following the death of Hon.Stephen Ukpekpen, the member representing Obudu State Constituency who slumped and died in May during an early morning jogging session at Ikotenim, the Assembly village, another member of the state assembly is dead.

Suanu’s Blog gathered that Hon. Simon Nkoro, the member representing Ikom 11 State Constituency died on Sunday afternoon after a protracted illness.

It was further gathered that Hon.Nkoro who was a two time member of the Assembly was a member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and served as Special Adviser to Senator Liyel Imoke during his first tenure before moving to the Assembly.

Meanwhile, the state Governor, Senator Ben Ayade in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Mr. Christian Ita described the death of Hon.Nkoro as shocking and painful.
“Hon Nkoro’s demise leaves a sour taste in m mouth and ache in my heart but then we cannot question God. Him and only Him has prerogative over life. He described Nkoro as a dedicated law maker, a consummate politician and a team player whose death is an immense loss to the people and government of the state,” the statement read.

That is an advice to the common Nigerian, not the politicians in power. Definitely not the foods you mentioned could have given them diabetes if it was.

Did d medical records showed that he succumbed to diabetes or we are just speculating? These guys are too heavily paid not to manage diabetes no matter the extent. It could be something else. They drink too much to have liver and kidney issues, prostate not properly managed e.t.c.

Who is responsible for fixing Cross-Rivers hospitals? Is it the job of Buhari or the House of Assembly and the Governor of River State?

You are correct. Ayade set a precedent with empowering and sponsoring late Steve Ukpekpen's wife Abbey to take over his seat in the Assembly even when it was widely said that the wife knows nothing about the people she has been selected to lead,has never accepted them as her in-laws,not even how to say good morning in Betem language,we hope hope he will do same to this one.Nkoro's widow must be accorded the same benefit or sue the Governor and PDP.
Wives of law makers in the state,this is àn opportunity to kill ur husbands.Be sure of reaping bounties of continuity when he dies.

Ayade is clueless and wicked. Shame on Cross River PDP for choosing him.
