They say the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

Are Ndiigbo vigilant?

Do u stay up at Night to think about the challenges we face as a nation and the effects those challenges are having on us as a people?

I bet you our enemies do.

These words should be engraved in GOLD!

My greatest concern isn't the challenges we face, it is the lackadaisical attitude of our people and leaders as if nothing is happening in Nigeria.

Our enemies are plotting more grievous crimes and we are just folding our hands concerned with village squabbles of which state or hamlet is better.

Before 2015, everyone knew Igbos could decide to fight again if the conditions in Nigeria became unbearable. Since 2015, there has been this doctrine of "protest peacefully and get shot so the international community will fight for you" I don't know who sold us those fake keys to paradise, but i know international community will not do a thing. The planned Python dance 3 in the SE, when there has been no breakdown of law and order tells you they consider Igbo a conquered race where they can conduct unnecessary military operations and kill innocent people without any consequences whatsoever.

The saddest part of what is going on now is that our people are also too reluctant to participate in the political process. If you don't want war, THEN VOTE! You cannot expect nothing to change if you don't atleast register and vote. Many young men i saw in Onitsha recently told me pointblank they didn't care who ruled Nigeria. They just wanted a Referendum! So if Abubakar Shekau like character rules Nigeria and abuses you, you don't care until you wait 10 years for a referendum? If you want a referendum, you still need to put people with your ideas into the Senate to go and argue your case, while you are doing everything you do now. You just cannot preach to people not to register nor participate in the political process. It's the silly suicide your enemies are hoping that you commit while they are registering babies in the north to keep the power to oppress you using the instrument of the state. There is a total lack of leadership with tact and vision. Nnamdi Kanu was partially to blame for having a single strategy of Referendum or Nothing. WITHOUT A PLAN B. Every good General ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B !

Although i hate the idea of forming a secret army because once you arm anyone, he becomes an outlaw except you have a greater force to compel him to submit and conform to the principles of the struggle. That is the mistake northern politicians made with Boko Haram. However, i am seriously toying with the idea of having a guerrilla / resistance wing of the struggle for survival.

I said this before, let's have an outfit for clandestine operations. No matter what anyone says or wants to believe we will definitely fight another war someday. We need a covert group for our security.

You could be right, but it must be well controlled. I would prefer not to have any at all, than have an undisciplined lawless group that harass and extort the population and nobody can control them. I remember when Bakassi boys tackled armed robbery, initially they were disciplined, then they started taking bribes to detain every wealthy man in Igboland on the silly allegation of suspected to be into ritual money. These are the sorts of things you must think very very critically before you give your resources to arm anybody. They may become worse than the so called Nigerian troops killing innocent people in the SE now.

A platform to unite Ndiigbo is wat we need.

We all need to come together and decided wat type of structure it should have and how to connect every igbo person on the planet to it.

Even the ones sold during slavery can join. The ones in all those far away countries too can feel closer to home.

We need to start linking up.
I will build something in this direction. This is a great idea I must say...

I and every other wise Igbo man appreciate what you are trying to do for Igbos in general but as usual I noticed it would turn out like this when some people started claiming Ikwerre and tribes that rejected their origin and ethnicity. We have not been able to unite the parts that agree being called Igbo and some were already eyeing Igbo speakers that aren't Igbo. I have very good ideas on jow Igboland can move foward which I plan to unveil on better platforms but the hindrance remains inability of Igbos to separate religion and politics from Igbo interest.

You can continue your nice updates when they're done. Thank you.

Spyder and the other more focused brothers have since decided to stay put on this thread and platform. Those calling out monikers with questionable demeanour and subtle anti-Igbo jabs are within their rights. Anyone making light of Igbo painful experiences and the current antagonism from all angles in Nigeria is a common enemy and must be called out for what he is. Days of docility and accepting all trash from naysayers are over. Touch Igboland from Igbanke to the Atlantic and you have most of us to contend with. Any Igbo man that speak of IPOB in a derogatory manner is not in step with what the people want, and therefore can no lead nor present any viable 'plan' for the people he's ignoring.

Igbo people want independence, period. Not addressing this and trying to 'plan' for Igbo people will make your contribution a waste of bytes on the internet and nothing more.

"The Igbo are a Christian rearguard of high intelligence and ability against the southward movement of the Moslem and Arab population of West Africa"- President Felix Houphouet-Boigny of La Cote D'Ivoire.
The above quote is deep and instructive. The recent upsurge in Biafra agitations, even as many of you pick holes in it served to sustain the spirit and consciousness of the above quote and divine mandate as captured by President Felix Houphouet-Boigny. Igbos let us think deeply. Neither Ojukwu nor Nnamdi Kanu was mad or misguided. They both understood the times and tried to provide a buffer. If we pick holes in their strategies, let us refine them and keep running with the divine mandate.Never to give up until we attain independent statehood. This quest is not a marathon. It is a relay. We keep running and reviewing as we go until we produce a refined pattern. But by all means, let us never lift our feet on the pedal.Nigerian politics is atavistic and toxic. It corrupts whatsoever it touches. Our future hangs on the balance if we think all is well. Freedom from Nigeria at whatever cost is a million times better than a billion Igbo president or restructuring. Ekwusiam ka oram na onu!

Keep talking about it until it permeate the very conscious and subconscious realms of every Igbo man. Breakup of hitherto oppressive enclaves like Nigeria did not happen overnight. It started as beer parlour gists then forms subject of political discussions (like Biafra is today globally). The next step is when it becomes the subjective reasons for policy and governance. No one could predict balkanization of Yugoslovia into the current Balkan states. Ditto for Soviet Union. The only and most remarkable constant was they never stopped talking and pushing for it until it becomes a moral burden to the string pullers. Biafra has more moral substance than all the other cases except the holocausts. The Biafra genocide is a massive moral burden to both the axis powers and the Nigerian government which explains their denial and treacherous mode in acknowledging and resolving the fall out of that painful era. I am no member of IPOB but I know enough already about Nigeria history and contemporary politics to understand that Igbos can only attain their potentials in a free and unfettered society which Nigeria CAN NEVER allow except under immense local and international pressure. Conservative estimates from British classified documents actually put the population of Igbos killed in the war and ther sectarian violence at 5.2 million. Please note that the population of Croatia that just played the World Cup finals is 4.8 million people! If this don't strattlle you as an Igbo man, then nothing else should. Sad to say we live in a region of the world where human lives count for nothing.

I have access to the inside of Nigerian politics. @Abagworo does too but he is too into filling is own stomach.
Let me tell you all that there is no political solution. There is no solution in the politics of Nigeria. Let me say it again.
There is no solution in the politics of Nigeria. Nigeria doesn't practice politics, the Nigerian state is dead and died along time ago and these politicians are no more powerful than Wizkid and Davido. But we don't appeal to Phyno for our development. We don't appeal to Flavour for justice. Yet you guys are talking about Rochas, Obiano, APGA, APC and co. These people have no power because the power structure of Nigeria is dead. Even a 'good governor' or a 'good leader' will find, once they're on the inside, that they are only powerful because of newspapers and people talking about them. Because people think that having the title 'governor' gives them authority.

Kanu proved it, and if you need more time to realize then I'll be patient because it's inevitable that you learn this. Nigeria is a dead state. Somalians know that they have no government, Nigerians are in the same position but we're laughing at them and using them as an example of a dead state. The state of Nigeria is dead. It only exists because of fear of the military.

There is no Nigerian state and you won't create it or revive it with your 'ideas'. What's remaining is for us to add our contribution to the state of Biafra, Oduduwa and co.

Have you noticed that even Buhari has to threaten violence to get things done? We'll take the Fulani for example. The Fulani are constantly threatening to kill this person, to attack that one, etc. Recently they told Saraki if he doesn't step down they will kill him.

Things get done in the US all the time. Ghana. South Africa. You can't find one time that official in power or their representatives have to threaten the use of force before getting their will. Why? because when a state exists, there are apparatuses in the state for getting that thing done. They can not opt for the impeachment of Saraki because the state of Nigeria is dead. He is an occupying force on the 'seat' he's in and they have to use force to remove him or else he can be there for the rest of this life if he pleases. This is what philosophers call the 'state of nature'.

When the state only has 'force' as a resource, that's when it's over. There's nothing that makes the Nigerian state control the people in it outside of force. If the government wants you to do something it attacks you or threatens to kill or hurt you. If it doesn't threaten, nothing happens. Now imagine the thousands of things a government needs it's people to do, and how it can't threaten for all of these things. Notice how it's only in Nigeria that these things don't get done?

But if it's something they can apply force to (protesters, political enemies), we're efficient at getting them to do what the state wants them to do.

Some of you think it's marginalization. Some of you think it's corruption. Some of you think it's bad leadership. Some of you think it's 'african mentality'. If you are given an invisible car and told to drive that car from hear to your own backyard, you'll laugh. But you're telling politicians to develop an inexistent political entity. Their only resource being money and force. Many of you don't understand what I'm saying because you know no other way, but let it be know that what we're seeing in Nigeria has been described before, it's a state of nature. It kills dreams and people before their time. It makes life impossible and is no more nurturing of your ambitions or life than the wilderness.

You're on a forum. A forum is for talking. Countless igbo people are building schools, hospitals, police stations, factories, roads and more. You can join them, especially if you live abroad and have a reasonable job. You can't say that 'we' are just talking, we are doing.

What frustrates those of use that are doing is that this concept of existing within the Nigerian state is in the way of their doing and the more you start doing the more you'll start seeing.

This is good, we should focus more on learning vocational skills and teaching some homegrown technical and practical skills to our young people. The type of education contained in the Nigerian curriculum is getting outdated daily, and the authorities are clueless about the needed changes. Whenever I open a Nigerian textbook, I cringe in shock.

hear this bro

1. We are not leaving any part of igboland behind. From the ones in edo state to the ones in rivers, delta, cross river and benue. Let Arewa 1st give up arewaland b4 we give up igboland. We are not plenty.

2. Biafra is not just an agitation, its a state of mind. It is igbo patriotism. It is catalonia, kkk, white power, gay pride, zionism...everything that makes a people proud. We wont stop it simply because of few nay sayers.

3. Your support for APC is what u should seperate from pan Igbo discussions. The only party u can promote here is apga (mind u am from enugu and i support pdp) not pdp and certainly not apc

4. If u have good ideas for igboland bring it on. If u dont like this platform ...then tag us on ur new platform...we will be there to say our views

Abagworo is an APC party member. He's loyal to Rochas first and foremost, not Igbo people or anything concerning our wellbeing. Like fellow Rochas people and Rochas himself they seen Igbos as a whole as a staircase to climb towards the Rochas presidency more than they see Igbos as their people. You'll never hear them say anything positive about us and if they need to sell us to get to 'the top' so be it.
