Because people drive the hell out of them and push them hard. They're always high pressure.

Those three are cars that attract the boy racer crowd. Even bloody Mustangs are probably driven harder than Beemers.

Their water pump design is shite, that's all.

Some BMW cooling systems that operates as stock have coolant temperature as high as around 110 degree Celsius. That's higher temperature and pressure.

With poor cooling system maintenance, chances of leak increase.

BMW recommends periodic Preventive maintenance of it's cooling system components.
