Lagos State Government on Wednesday said it is set to recruit over two thousand teachers into its primary and secondary schools.

The state governor Akinwunmi Ambode had earlier announced the approval of recruiting the teachers at the last quarterly Town Hall meeting at Ibeju Lekki area of the State.

Ambode had promised that his administration would employ more teachers into public schools to meet up with the manpower required to cover all public schools in the State.

Also at the meeting, the Deputy Governor Idiat Adebule development stated that the recruitment will aid teaching and learning in the public schools.

She added that government owned schools has been attracting more enrollment in the last three years as a result of the improved infrastructure and welfare of teaching and non-teaching staff.

Recruiting when they still owe 2 months salary
"Salary-starved teachers prone to exam leakage, academic fraud, says Okebukola"
Okebukola, who is also a former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), told ENO-ABASI SUNDAY that the country also runs the risk of losing its pride of place as having one of the best educational systems in Africa, which the UNESCO and other international agencies accord her.
Teachers are an integral part of a country’s workforce. At least 16 of the 36 states owe teachers salaries for upward of five months. What does this bode for education and indeed national development?
A quick point of correction. As at January 4, 2018, 22 states owe teachers at least three months’ salaries. Some state governors are now scurrying all over the media, glibly promising to pay up to November 2017 salaries.

To pay them 30,000 monthly angry

Nigerians are wicked!

How do u expect a graduate to survive with 40,000 monthly salary in a densely populated city like Lagos, Abuja, Portharcour

If you are a graduate reading this, I want to advice u, instead of taking up some of these slavery jobs paying u 30,000 - 60,000 monthly, especially if u live in Lagos, Abuja, Portharcour, etc, pls go and learn a skill or handwork and apply it and earn daily pay helping people solve their daily needs.

You can equally start a business than working for these useless jobs that have no future, that will only end up destroying your ambition and self esteem.

If u are a lady, bend down and go learn fashion designing and try and be very creative and good at it, its better for u than 40,000naira monthly job with no future.

If u are a guy, also u can learn fashion designing, welding, carpentry on a high skilled level, furniture making, plumbing, refrigeration, etc.

These skills are better than working for a peanut in a futureless company earning peanut.

Be wise, make wise decision for your life now!

Run from peanut jobs, u won't die, dream big, work smart, pray and take calculated risks and u will make it bigger.

Thunder fire all the useless presidents, governors, senators, ministers, directors, civil servants, etc that destroyed Nigeria and made it a hopeless nation for the citizens, it shall never be well with u all and your stupid supporters, including those currently in power doing nothing to improve Nigeria's economy and create jobs, may u people remain unhappy forever even with all the looted billions angry angry
