Kwankwaso Corruption Cases And Shaddy Deals. by Slayedchick: 11:13am On Aug 29, 2018
N255 BILLION SCAM
• President Goodluck Jonathan at the 2015 PDP rally described Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as a fraudster for embezzling allowances meant for party delegates during the 2010 PDP Presidential primaries.

• Jonathan further said and I quote: “Kwankwaso collected N255 billion local government federal allocation from June 2011 to date (2015) but nothing was done in the local government areas in the state.”

• Also, President Jonathan disclosed that his administration awarded N14 billion dual carriageway that would link Kano and Katsina, noting that this was in addition to two major flyovers being constructed at strategic locations in the city to aid smooth vehicular movement.

Family Fraud
In 2011, reports gathered by 247ureports.com revealed that Kano lawmakers may have “an axe to grind with Kwankwaso” over what they termed as “financial offences” committed while as a governor.

• Top on the list of the Kwankwaso’s shady deals and financial offences are the activities of the governor through his brother, Baba Musa Kwankwaso [popularly known as “Baba”] who is employed at the Kano State Housing Cooperation.

• The governor “unofficially” appointed Baba to handle all the lucrative contracts associated with the State Universal Basic Education Board [SUBEB] including the feeding contract of all State-owned boarding schools.

• It was gathered that the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Alhaji Yakubu Adamu Wudil sacking was as a result of Baba’s undue influence into the activities of the SUBEB. He was said to be bringing written notes from Kwankwaso’s Chief of Staff, Dr Yunusa Dangwani on how to dispense contracts to Kwankwaso’s brothers and cronies. Insiders further cited a N2.8 billion classroom contracts that were awarded and allocated to Kwankwasiya associates without the Board’s knowledge.

Gov Kwankwaso, in a similar swoop, ordered all its State contractors to adhere to buying roofing zinc only from Baba Musa Kwankwaso. Baba had pre-ordered a Kwankwasiyya branded roofing sheets from China, in anticipation of getting an exclusive market since his brother (Governor Kwankwaso) “forced/mandated” all government contractors to use the type of branded zinc that he [Baba] solely sells.

Sources also gathered Kwankwaso’s wife, Salamatu as a beneficiary of the Kwankwaso’s nepotism/shady deals. Mrs Salamatu Kwankwaso produces and supplies interlocking tiles, which Kwankwaso’s government “directed” (via a circular with ref: LS/ADM/43/TP1), that owners/occupiers of properties within the metropolitan area “must be sandcreted or interlocked…” thus paving way for her company which is situated along Yahaya Gusau road to have an exclusive patronage.

FRAUDULENT SCHOLARSHIPS
In January 2017, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State alleged that the overseas scholarship scheme of the immediate past administration of Rabiu Kwankwaso was a scam.

He alleged that instead of following due process to secure admissions for students, the government engaged the services of what he called “a contractor, who collected money improperly from both the government and the institutions, turning the whole admission exercise into a racket.

Similarly, when they want to pay the school fees, they send the money to him, to take his share, then give the rest to the institutions”, the governor claimed.

Ganduje stated that his government inherited from Kwankwaso a huge liability of unpaid scholarships for students in foreign universities, about N3 billion is still being owed to the institutions.

On local scholarships, he berated Kwankwaso for not paying the teeming Kano students for four years running, saying so far, the outstanding claim by students in private universities alone is over N2 billion, apart from the amount due to students in public universities and tertiary institutions.

MALTREATMENT OF IGBOS & SOUTHERNERS UNDER KWANKWASO

It is a known fact that Igbos used their resources, both human and financial to ensure that Kwankwaso emerged as the Governor of Kano state in 2011. But after his victory, the music changed to the consternation of political watchers.

Instead of implementing all the promises made to the people, Kwankwaso settled for using his official powers to harass and intimidate Igbos in Kano.

TOTAL NEGLECT OF THE SABON GARI AREA MAINLY INHABITED BY IGBOS
Inhabitants of Sabon Gari area contribute to about 40% of the IGR in Kano State because of the high concentration of commercial and economic activities within that area. All the public schools within Sabon Gari were abandoned and the buildings converted to commercial shops under the supervision of Kwankwoso’s Government agents.

In other words, there was no single functional public School in Sabon Gari Kano. Consequently, Southerners in Sabon Gari paid very heavily to see their children and wards through primary and Secondary Schools in Kano.

• There was no single government maternity, healthcare centres or hospitals in Sabon Gari Area. Even though Kano State has the biggest water treatment plant at Tambarawa axis, there was no single tap running in Sabon Gari area of Kano.

• Over fifty (50) roads in Sabon Gari were in very bad and deplorable conditions despite the billions of naira being generated from the Sabon Gari area. Drainages in Sabon Gari were also in very bad shape.

There was no electricity in the whole of Sabon Gari area and the inhabitants resorted to using generators permanently.

The above situation (i.e utter lack of infrastructural facilities) use of generating sets, etc caused serious ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION in the area. Thus inhabitants were exposed to health hazards.

During the celebration of Gov. Kwankwaso's 100 days in office, he said that the inhabitants of Sabon Gari should use their money to construct roads in Sabon Gari instead of building good houses…How callous could a supposed leader be?!

The non-indigenes using various platforms (Ohanaeze Ndigbo Kano State inclusive) made several unsuccessful attempts to draw the Governor's attention to the deplorable state of infrastructure in Sabon – Gari, but he remained recalcitrant to the pleas and several Save Our Soul (SOS) messages.

On the assumption of office in 2011, Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso took the disposition of an ethnic chauvinist.

At one time, he began to promote policies that were obviously antagonistic to the wellbeing of Igbos and other non-indigenes in the state.

He set an agenda to kill and bury all the business concerns of Igbos to the glory of his own people who he believed remained backwards over the years.

Igbos were being treated as if they are not Nigerians in Kano. Igbos received this draconian agenda with utter disbelief because they voted massively for Governor Kwankwaso during the 2011 elections.

Among the numerous persecutions of Igbos in Kano include:

• Unlawful and forceful ejection of Patent Medicine Dealers from a part of Abubakar Rimi Market Sabon-Gari Kano.

Where non-indigenes bought shops at exorbitant prices from the Kano State Government at the rate of N5m to N10m.

Ask Igbos in Kano about this and you would be shocked at the details!

• Unlawful and forceful ejection of Industrial Gum/Rubber Sellers from Kofar Ruwa Market Kano where Igbos & Southerners were trading.

• Nonchalant attitude towards the security challenges, violent attacks and secret killings targeted against non-muslims and non-indigenes sanctioned by his administration.

• Inflammatory and inciting utterances plus the reaction of Gov Kwankwaso after the March 18, 2013, bomb blast at Luxury Bus Park Kano compelled most Southerners and discerning members of the public to reasonably suspect that Governor Kwankwaso was behind the bomb blast

KWANKWASO, THE RADICAL ISLAMIST EXTREMIST & HOW HE INITIATED SHARIA LAW IN KANO (2000)

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims gathered in the city of Kano 21 June 2000 for the proclamation of Islamic sharia law in northern Nigeria's most populous state -prompting fears of a fresh wave of religious violence.

As a vast crowd chanted "God is Great!" in a prayer ground in the city, Kano state officials said implementation would begin later that year. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the state governor, said: "This is a momentous day in the history of Kano state."

The declaration set the north of Nigeria more firmly than ever on a collision course with the government of President Olusegun Obasanjo who had appealed repeatedly for the Islamic code not to be enforced.

Moves earlier in 2000 to adopt sharia in the neighbouring state of Kaduna triggered Muslim-Christian clashes in which hundreds of people died.

President Obasanjo called that crisis the most serious since the Sixties' civil war over breakaway Biafra. Police struggled to control the chanting crowd at the proclamation ceremony.
Two people were crushed to death and at least 11 people collapsed from exhaustion. The state government had declared the day a holiday to reduce tensions.

Shops and major businesses, mostly operated by non-Muslims, were shut as Governor Kwankwaso smiled all through.

Local banks reported a run on deposits because of withdrawals by Southerners heading south. Observers said the flight of Christians hurt the northern economy, but he didn’t care.

Also, the repressive Hisbah police he set up alongside Sharia law to enforce it was regularly harassing, extorting and destroying Southern owned businesses as seen in this video below.

Everyday literature and children’s books perceived to be ‘western’ were routinely seized from bookshops and schools and were burnt amidst fanfare.

Here the bloodsucker of a governor was planting the seeds of Boko Haram which has eventually ravaged the North East- hating Western education which ironically he had as a postgraduate student in the UK at Middlesex Polytechnic (1982-1983) and Loughborough University of Technology (1983 -1985) where he got his master's degree in Water Engineering.

It's now time to allege Kwankwaso is corrupt, BMC are no longer concentrating on Saraki. This week it must be Kwankwaso considering he's pulling unprecedented crowds in the north.

ANIOMADEI2018:
IF APC is not the answer to our Problems, there is no reason going back to the instigators of the problem.
I'm not a politician but I would do everything not to have PDP in Government in Nigeria.
The greatest tragedy that can befall a nation is for her citizens to suffer collective amnesia. I believe PDP believes Nigerians have short memories, if not, Ibori would not have been included in their convention committee and Jonathan would not have been allowed to talk (He ended up indicting himself as usual anyway).
For those who may have forgotten, kindly joggle your memories with the following words on marble and you will agree with me that what happened in Eagle square on saturday was nothing but gathering of rogues.
Happy reading:

1. I acted based on Jonathan's instruction - Dasuki

2. I didn't give order - Jonathan

3. I collected 350M from Dasuki for consultation - Iyorchia Ayu

4. I only collected $30,000 from Dasuki not N100m - Bode George

5. I got N4.6b from Dasuki for spiritual purposes - Bafarawa

6. I got N650M from Dasuki for my Abuja burnt office - Thisday Obaigbena.

7. I got N2.1b from Dasuki for publicity - Dokpesi

8. I got another N100m from Yuguda he didn't tell me from where - Bafarawa.

9. I gave N100m each to Odili, Jim Nwobodo Bode George and others - Yuguda

10. The president asked me to change N10B to foreign currency for PDP delegates - Dasuki

11. My boss asked me to get $11M from the CBN - Dasuki's account officer.

12. I got order from above to pay Tompolo N13B for Maritime university land. - Nimasa DG.

13. 950m was shared in my house -- Shekarau

With all this looting and many more revealed, some people are still shouting no sign of change yet, they even say it's political persecution.

But I believe, it is the right thing to do.
If you believe too, send this to other people to garner more support for the fight against corruption and looting in our nation. There must be consequences for such crimes otherwise Nigeria will not develop.
