jiggaz:
Believer, see God as your Daddy. The love of our earthly fathers cannot hold a candle to His love for us. What would you not do to make your own child live in triumph over sin and death and inherit your wealth if you had all the power to do so? Would you first expect him to grovel and beg like an outsider before feeding him? How much more our Abba Father who has abundantly poured out His grace (undeserved, unearned, unmerited favour) on us in all "wisdom and prudence" and not recklessly that it needs "balancing" by human hands. Ephesians 1:7-8 says of Him:

7 "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,"

Many wrongly think that God's grace will cause people to start sinning anyhow and so try to put believers in check concerning the issue of sin by introducing some law. Some "church leaders" are trying to introduce the Law of Moses to the gospel which is Grace and ONLY Grace, and are calling this horrid mixture "a balanced message."

For some preachers, preaching this horrid mixture has its root in the belief that God's work cannot succeed without our making it so by some forceful effort on our part. But this is akin to how "Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled." in 2 Samuel 6:6. Uzzah died from the act. Many others who preach this "neither cold nor hot" mixture are plain ministers of Satan following the example of their master who deceived Adam and Eve into believing that they could attain godliness (be like God) by human effort at doing something.

Believer, Grace is a person and His name is Jesus Christ. He does not need anybody to "balance" Him. Titus 2 says of Him:

11 "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people. 12 It trains us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 14 He gave Himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people who are truly His, who are eager to do good. 15 So communicate these things with the sort of exhortation or rebuke that carries full authority. Don’t let anyone look down on you."

Grace is our Teacher, not you, I or the Ten Commandments. Grace teaches us to reject ungodliness. Grace purchases our freedom from every lawless deed (our sins,) no matter how vile. Grace purifies us for Himself. Grace makes us passionate to do what is beautiful in His eyes. By Grace, let's all communicate these things....Don't let anyone look down on you for this gospel of Christ.

We sometimes forget that it was religious Jews whose lives were all about obeying the Ten Commandments and doing works of the law in order to get right with God that despised and wrongly accused Paul and his companions of all sorts for this gospel (Good News) of Christ (Grace) that he preached, hence what Paul wrote in Romans 1-

"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life."

The law is not of faith. Like many today, those religious people did not believe that God makes us right in His sight through faith in Christ and not by obeying the law as Paul wrote in Romans 3-

"26...for He himself is fair and just, and He makes sinners right in His sight when they believe in Jesus. 27 Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. 28 So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law."

They could not let go of the letter that kills. Galatians 5:4 says "For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's grace."

This was written to the believers in Galatia who were deceived into believing that they had to obey the law and do its works in order to remain in right-standing with God and be perfected. Christ was removed from their equation of salvation.

Today, many teach: "Now that you are born-again, you have to do your best to obey the law so that you can be righteous, maintain your salvation and escape God's wrath." This is a lie according to the example of those who deceived the Christians in Galatia. Romans 5:9 tells us how God permanently sees all who are in Christ: "And there is still much more to say of His unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in My sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God."

The result of this "neither cold nor hot" mixture that is being preached in many places of worship today is worse than the fate of those religious Jews that tried to silence preachers of the gospel of Christ aka Grace. The Jews had their ceremonies and blood sacrifices to escape God's wrath when they sinned but what do believers who are still trying to be godly by obeying the law and thus have been cut off from Christ have? No shed blood of Christ and "without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins." So their sin remains. Such face the curse of the law as the law condemns everyone who tries to obey it. See Galatians 3:10-

"But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under His curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.” No one can do all.

Try to use obedience to the law or anything done by human effort to put believers in check concerning sins and sin will have dominion: "For sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under Grace." Romans 6:14.

Many in the church have this verse backwards, struggling to be godly aka "be like God" by human effort and thus nullifying the finished work of Christ in making the sinner who believes righteous in their salvation equation. This is where Satan wants everyone to be- trying to be godly and striving to earn eternal life by human effort at doing the seemingly "good thing" of obeying the law. His agents behind many pulpits are pushing this agenda. Believer, let's not be found here. Adam and Eve tried it. It seemed good to Eve to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The end is still death. See the forbidden fruit as a picture of the law that many are trying to obey in order to be godly in Paul's typology in Romans 7:8-12 (MSG) -

"Don’t you remember how it was? I do, perfectly well. The law code started out as an excellent piece of work. What happened, though, was that sin found a way to pervert the command into a temptation, making a piece of “forbidden fruit” out of it. The law code, instead of being used to guide me, was used to seduce me..."

Satan, through his agents behind many pulpits, is still seducing people to eat from this tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the law) in order to be godly (be like God.) The result is sin has dominion and death reigns.

Beware of any pastor that tells you that a believer in Christ has to do things to break generational or other curses after "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law...." (Galatians 3:13)

Believer, by grace, believe right. See Paul's typology of Hagar and Sarah as the two covenants of Law and Grace in Galatians 4. Sarah (Grace) did not need Hagar (Law) to raise Isaac (the church- you and I in Christ.) God's Grace is sufficient for us; His strength is made perfect in weakness.

Grace is undeserved, unearned, unmerited favour. It cannot be earned. It can only be received. Only when we receive God's abundance of Grace and His gift of righteousness to us in Christ do we get to live in triumph over sin and death ( including all of death's symptoms like lack, sickness, depression, etc)-

""For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one Man, Jesus Christ."

Beware of that "balanced message." Grace is more than enough to train us in the Way of right living.

Right believing always produces right living.

I am not an authority on this topic but let me say the Little's I know.

Romans 8 vs 2: what the law could not do in that it was weakened by the flesh. God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin condemned sin in the flesh. That the righteous requirements of the law may be met by us who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit.

In Zechariah it says its not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord.

See no matter how we try to obey the tenets of the law, we cannot. Because of the flesh. Jesus condemned sin in the flesh and the only way we practice the law is simply by the spirit.

I repeat no human being can ever be justified by keeping the law. Never. What makes us right is simply because of what Jesus did. And we begin to activate it in our life by walking in the spirit. According to Galatians 5 vs 22.

Our main focus should be bearing the fruits of the holy spirit which are: love, joy, peace, Patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, meekness and self control against which there is no law.

If you look at those fruits. It is the holy spirit that bears in the life of a believer. By simply yielding to the spirit. Amen

If God knows we cannot obey the law why give it out for us to adhere to...meaning you are saying he is stupid and doesnt think before acting? How do we walk in the spirit if we cannot obey the simple laws he gave us while keeping the new law too "love your neighbour as yourself" so this means I can start living a careless and ignorance life claiming i'm under grace..Remember he himself complained about the israelites going into sin and coming back seconds later to provide burnt offering as remmission of their sins and that he is sick of such robotic and zombie attitude.. the same bible said "should we abide in grace and say sin should abound? Have you forgotten that? Now I can love my neighbour as myself while still commiting fornication as long as I did not force the person Im commiting it with to engage in such with me and also keep going back to claim grace and ask for forgiveness right? God said he will forgive us anyday anytime we ask for his forgiveness right? Now tell me what will happen to such after commiting fornication such person dies and didnt remember to ask for forgiveness within that seconds as per what im told he/she gets an automatic ticket to hell right? lol...Whether the bible was edited or not whether the bible is complete or not..The truth remains that so many things were manipulated even the bible said it and placed a curse in the book of revelation.. Whether I believe in the whole story or not my main point is that christains should not be too over religious regarding something that happened thousands of years ago and start contradicting themselves "love" is the most paramount and as per what the bible and jesus said " he has not come to take away the law but that the law through him might be fufilled.. So what im saying as per the bible is that you cannot tell me the law is useless if you tell me so then you are indirectly calling the all knowing God stupid. And thats the truth because he is the law as per what the bible says!

Thanks for this submission

Myself Am struggling with the write-up in the OP in that it focuses on the engine which is the **grace** but neglected the output produced by the engine. A jet engine will make the aircraft overcome gravity.

A grace produced life will result in spirit control life and the fruit of the spirit will manifest, overcoming the works of the flesh. The law is there to tell people they have sinned against God, but Grace is here to show us that God can pardon our transgressions.

If one talk about Grace and ignored the life of righteousness it produces that is injustice. Also if any person claims to have received Grace, we should see the righteous results, if not we should be able to tell the person what is expected of him.

At this point, this is where Wesleyan Sanctification Doctrine, the second work of grace must be well understood.

As per what the bible says "A grace produced life will should result in spirit control life and the fruit of the spirit will manifest, overcoming the works of the flesh" "Remember the he that is filthy let him be filthy still" part of revelation..now is that God purposely telling you he will make you filthy? or you work towards it yourself by not obeying the old and new laws captilizing solely on grace?

Dear please, Don't misquote the Bible, God did not at any point declared to make anyone filthy, what he promised as a new covenant was that **I will write my law in their heart** Jeremiah 31v33 and Hebrews 8v10.

The part you quoted from revelation is talking about reward for man's deed

I gave you a practical reply from the scriptures not my own concept.

Read through the Bible and you will see that religion has blinded the minds of people from knowing the living God.

The righteousness of man is like a filthy rag. Can man save himself? Not at all. It took Christ coming in the likeness of sinful flesh to pay the Price and atone us from Sin.
Salvation is all about Jesus and not keeping the law. Why did the scribes, Pharisees couldn't accept Jesus? Yet they were followers of the law. Yet they were the ones that crucified the Lord. Moreover even in the book of Acts they still were persecuting the Church of which apostle Paul was chief among them. Until Jesus attested him on the way to Damascus.

The scripture can/could have be manipulated a lot making everything go out of balance reason only those that dive in deep will understand. The probability was confirmed in the final chapter of the bible. Anyway I think I'll have to end here... Nice talking with you wink

You are the one confused. Can man attain righteousness by his deeds? Capital no. Our righteousness was simply because of what Jesus did. It took God coming in the likeness of flesh to redeem us. When we understand this is when we even fall deeply in love with the Lord. We live for the Lord.

Religion, dos and donts was not what changed the world during the apostles time that it was said that they turned their world upside down. Salvation comes only by Jesus Christ. When john the Baptist saw the Lord he said of him behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.

Its all about Jesus and what he did for us.

There is no manipulation. Gods word is life. I repeat it is all about Jesus. Nothing more.
Its all about the holy spirit at work in the life of a believer.

Our salvation is strictly based on what Jesus did and what the holy spirit is doing daily in our lives.
It is a daily walk. Step by step following after the Lord.

Confused?...lmao...Any way for thw sake of others I will write this even if I didnt want to continue.. Citing the bible as a....Righteousness is an illusion but saying because you are under grace you shouldnt try your best to attain righteousness to me is out of it..Jesus said be thou perfect as your heavinly father is perfect. Is perfection possible? No! But you should try to....He speaks in parables we all know..Ofcourse yes! So you can attain righteousness by your deeds through jesus christ..I rest my case.

Were you there thousands of years ago to be sure? Even though the bible said it could be likely manipulated and even placed a curse. That is the problem with christianity we assume everything is perfect! Was the bible written by God himself? Let's go back to the basics

John 3 vs 16 for God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

This is the foundation of our Faith

Let's not confuse ourselves here! Nobody can claim to be under GRACE and ignore the law. This Overextended GRACE teaching has turned people into lukewarm christians lifting error believing its truth they have! grin I believe the law is encapsulated in GRACE, so i believe under GRACE, we should still keep the law (Jeremiah 31:33). But the caution is, we should never trust in our ability to keep the law (and this is where many people miss it and get into self-righteousness) but rely solely on the finished work of Christ on the cross for us. So when u get it wrong which you will sometimes, and the devil brings his weapon of guilt, you quickly remind yourselve of Romans 8:1 and tell the devil you are covered by the finished work of Christ on the cross.

« P.S » GRACE IS NEVER A LICENSE FOR SIN. THIS IS AN APOSTASY/ERROR FROM HELL
Scripture Ref (Romans 6:1)

A novice christian always have this idea that christianity is automatically a bed of roses why? because today men of God are good at painting this kind of pictures. Im just speaking reality here...
Very good: so you are now questioning the authority of the scriptures?

I have nothing to talk with you again!!!

The bible was written by men inspired by God thats what we were told..Wonder why some women put on trousers even as christains while some codemn the practice saying women were told not to put on men clothings grin.
Even till today christains interpret the bible the way it seem fit..As we all know the bible is manipulated and reinterpreted in ways men seem fit so many things could have transpired take it or leave it thats thats the truth so religion shouldnt take away our common sense..Nothing is perfect not even the BIBLE take it, or leave it. You might be correct about this grace issue while Im wrong as no one was there to know what really happened back then so no overreligious attitude like I earlier said in christianity.. lol...Jesus words back then in the ears of men and pharisees back then distablized the words and prophesies of the prophets wink I'm just a guy interpreting the whole thing the way it is and not the way I think it should be.

Do you believe the Messiah is the Word of the Father?

Why did the Messiah have to die?

Who or what is grace?

Who is the Word?

What and what constitute the Word?

What are the Ten Commandments?

When Paul mentioned the "Law", which one(s) did he mean?

What does Rev 12:17 mean to you?

Your ability to answer these questions Scripturally will tell you whether you teaching is wrong or right.
