I pay vigilantes fee @500 NGN per month. Still I don't know how to survive until I am able to save enough to rent elsewhere.

It's been 85 hours since I've had at most an hour sleep.

Armed robbers have been terrorising my area since Tuesday last week I think.
During these times, we called on the police whose station was more than a kilometer away from us, they gave an excuse that they had flat tire.

The robbers shot at two security guards, one died on the spot and the other miraculously lived as both were shot in the chest.

The stupid house agent hide the robbery history away from me. He told me that for the past two years, not even a burglary case was reported or encountered in the area. Alas! The bas+@rd lied and ended up endangering my life.

My question is, why are there no police posts in all nooks and crannies of Nigeria?

Why are there no police posts in every ward in all LGAs of Nigeria?

Why are the politicians sleeping safely at night when ordinary people keep vigil?

Right now I can't sleep. To make matters worse, it's been raining since yesterday evening.

My temperature is high and my head is aching.

Politicians why?

I just realized that more than 80% of Nigerians rely on local vigilantes to keep watch at night which is almost not even safe as these people usually don't have guns and all.

What is even the essence of existing as a Nigerian?

My Brother ... if you see chance run comot from Nigeria, i dey tell you ... If electricity , poor roads and bad governments are the only problem of Nigeria, i can manage to stay but because of insecurity ... bros i gbagam ... i dey enjoy freedom and respect in another man's country even though 80 percent of my business is in Nigeria, i can't stay more than between 2 weeks and a month anytime i come back !! everybody will die someday but i don't wish my life to be cut short by another person just because i am a Nigerian or living in Nigeria ... some countries have not heard a sound of Gun before but in Nigeria burst a pure water nylon and watch how people pick race due to fear of the unknown !! i weep for Nigeria .

My Brother, Where i am currently i can take a bath by 2 AM and go to a Spot to have some drink, and nobody will harass or embarrass me on the way, Police vans will be passing you and nobody will talk to you as long as you are clean and legit with your papers complete, rate of armed robbery is 0.5 percent , as we no dey even lock our compound gate for night .. light is 24 hours and you can have it for months without it going off, not in Nigeria where people celebrate 30 minutes of power not going off !!

SARS know the real armed robbers and they don't disturb each other---they are colleagues. They only flex their muscles when they see innocent people who they can obtain some money from. Not in support of the end SARS campaign, but I support a general overhaul, serious reorientation and a clear and definitive job description! As it is, they are useless until they are restructured.
