That erosion site at hundred foot road is much older than me even at my age and is a very big menace, both the communities and the residents has tried their possible best to control it up to the present state, I think is high time Our government consider working on it once and for all.

Anambra does not need an airport. Enugu, Asaba, Owerri are all nearby built with FG money. Obiano should channel scarce govt money to fix the infrastructure in cities.
anambra state supposed to have their own international airport not warri or asaba airport Anambra supposed to have her own international airport because as anambra have city like onitsha nnewi and awka anambra supposed to have her own international airport

I don't need to respond to your unfounded comments. Get out if you cannot go and get us pictures.

Anambra is doing great all round as the foremost state east of the Niger

I noticed the e warriors of this administration are uncouth and acerbic in their manner of expression and response. Probably because they are under pressure to deliver the undeliverable. Let's talk about issues and not personalities, we want our leaders to be accountable and above board. We do not want deception, I am not convinced with the level of progress this regime has made and they know it. When you have round pegs in square holes, what do you expect?

Thank you sir for your response, but it seems they are confused and vision less. If not, why did you start the airport project in the first place when you knew you couldn't deliver it or when you knew it was not necessary. Confused people.

Going by your username, it's obvious you are a paid agent, whose main objective is to launder the image of this government via propaganda. Please show us pictures of tangible projects executed and commissioned by this administration, not private oriented projects. What has this administration done with the enormous monies vis a vis IGR, federal allocation, international partners funds, etc? Show us electricity projects, hospitals commissioned and equipped, schools built, roads, etc.
go and sit down if you don't like what the guy is showing you please go and sit down we were enjoying it.

What is your state governor doing about 17 months workers salaries, 34 months arrears, 37 months health workers salaries

Interestingly, I am even more Anambra than you. We celebrate mediocrity because of vested interests, so unfortunate. Past administrations in Anambra have been paying salaries and yet they had something tangible to show, unlike this regime that are confused and disorganized. Your principal need to work to deliver the dividends of democracy to Anambrarians.

Oga,

The International airport is a $2 billion dollars PPP project. The total Anambra budget every year is about $400 million. So you'd prefer using the money for salaries and other infrastructural development to go int cargo airport? Yet, you have no cargo to import or export, but that is your main concern.

We need to create industrial estates powered by gas supplies to help more industries come into the state. We need to develop cattle ranches and to become self sufficient in beef and other animal protein. We need to build a light rail system to connect Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi and Ekwulobia to help the state achieve quick and cheap transportation of people, goods and services from one part of the state to another.

Yet, your major concern is completion of cargo airport just started less than 2 years ago and it's a PPP? Now you see why we smell mischief in some questions?
but the governor of anambra state say that he don't need anambra people to contribute money for the international cargo airport project. that oriental oil company and state government will do the job is that not what he is said.

I don't understand what is wrong in asking about the state of the airport flagged off with so much fanfare and publicity? Please find below an excerpt from the governor's speech at the flag off and tell us if the person that asked an innocent question erred!
Indeed, the economic benefits of the Umueri Airport City Project are enormous. It is expected to generate 1,200 direct and 3600 indirect jobs. We expect that Ndi Anambra will grab 70% of these jobs in continuation of our efforts to create wealth and prosperity for our people. It will also provide an opportunity for training and skills transfer to our people. I have no doubts whatsoever that this project will have a tremendous impact on the ease of doing business in Anambra State as it opens a direct access by air to our vast markets. In particular, I hope that on completion, the Umueri Airport City Project will wipe out the difficulties our businessmen and women often encounter in exporting and importing goods and services and help in improving the entire supply chain.

Ladies and gentlemen, with this project and our subsequent plan for a light rail project, Anambra State will eventually assume its rightful place as a major commercial and industrial hub in the West African sub-region. As you are aware, my administration is intensely focused on building projects that have immense economic values. That is why we have concentrated efforts in building roads and bridges that either lead to industrial clusters or the oilfields or the agricultural belt of the state.

This Airport City Project follows the same trajectory. That is why we have established a strong synergy between Orient Petroleum Resources Plc and the Airport project with a view to operating an Aviation Fuel Segment that will attract both local and foreign airlines to refuel their aircraft in Umueri. This will no doubt open a new economic corridor for our beloved state as it is expected to stimulate growth in the oil and gas sector and multiply our revenue sources. It is my candid hope also that when this airport becomes operational, the world will have a direct and easy access to the vast tourism offerings of Ogbunike Cave and Ogbaukwu Caves and Waterfalls as well as the timeless archaeological treasures of Igboukwu!

thank you my brother you know the truth I have told them that anambra state supposed to have airport international airport even more than delta state or owerri imo.

I just hope very serious attention will be paid to landscaping to get this hospital to the proper ambiance it deserves.

I hate when expensive projects are completed without landscaping and the whole place looks dusty and shoddy. We must change the culture of poor finishing of projects. All these spaces around various buildings can be car parks with very beautiful flowers and trees planted in-between.

please anambra should Biko stop using this poor and dirting paint I wonder why onitsha people always like to use this paint all the time.

Photographer or propagandist you mean??
I won't be surprised if you are the same as globemoney always changing names in a bid to deceive us. Why do they need to desperately upload digitally edited pictures if they have anything on ground? Ideally, people will speak and the projects will be there for all to see, but alas we cannot find the projects neither are we feeling the impact of a government in power.

I fail to understand what this fixation with airport and its completion under 24 months is all about if not pure and unbridled mischief.
In my opinion, providing gas infrastructure and master plan to link all the industrial estates in the East and Asaba tops the agenda. It will birth an industrial revolution unheard of anywhere because it will also lead to establishment of microgrids and micro thermal stations in industrial clusters (Habour industrial estate,Emene industrial estste,Uru Industrial estate Nnewi,Ozubulu Industrial estate etc) with long term positive domino effects. While i do not know if such services is still in the exclusive lists or part of the deregulated elements,it is still my candid opinion that all the big Igbo players in oil industry pursue it as a partnership project and by that i mean (Seplat of Uju Ifejika, Tecon Oil of Ome Ifeukwu Ihiala,Nestoil of Obijackson,Oronto Oil and Gas of Arthur Eze,Captain Iheanacho's integrated oil and Gas and a host of others. I wish such can be done with a view to building an enduring regional economy. Dr Maduka's 12 storey hospital will turn around health tourism in another decade to Umuchuwku if he equips his hospital to international standards. Such gestures can be replicated with equally positive results in other sectors and these things are doable. Are we even aware that one of the executive directors of Ford Motors is a Nigerian? Plenty more abound. Only and if only governance will be run like a business in Nigeria and Igbo land in particular and not a money sharing assembly.
