Even if Obiano doesn't deliver the Anambra airport, his successor will. All the capital flight that anambra is losing to a lack of airport will eventually cease. Anambra airport will choke that overrated enugu airport to coma. |

The point is that one is already under construction, so focus more on stunted development in your own state [s] Ogbuefi2020:[/s] |

Anambra govt, host communuity agree on $140m modular refinery ONITSHA—The long awaited proposed multi-million naira Modular Refinery, one of the 10 refineries approved by the federal government to be cited in Anambra and nine other oil producing states in the country, may have come alive, following a balance struck between the state government and the Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas, HOSCOM. This followed a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of Anambra State Investment Protection and Promotion Agency, ANSIPPA. Mr. Jide Ikeakor, by the national chairman of HOSCOM, Prince Mike Emuh. During the visit which was arranged by the Chief of Staff to Anambra Government House, Primus Odili, the ANSIPPA boss, Ikeakor commended Emuh for his consistent concern for the development of oil and gas in the state and assured him that government would encourage foreign investors who have the interest to cite a modular refinery in the state. Ikeakor who admitted that Anambra has more quantity of gas than oil flowing underground, said government could as well serve as a guarantor to the investors whenever the refinery project kicks off. Earlier, the Project Consultant, Engr. Okoro explained that the refinery project which was split in phases, is expected to cost between $15 million and $140 million, adding that when completed, the refinery would be very profitable to both the government and investors https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2018/09/anambra-govt-host-communuity-agree-on-140m-modular-refinery/amp/ 1 Like

Anambra Girl, Tochukwu Anyigbo Among Bronze Winning Team Nigeria At The First Global Robotics Challenge In Mexico By Uche Nworah Anambra - born Tochukwu Anyigbo from Ihiala is among the bronze winning Team Nigeria which scored in the top 40% of total teams, and won two bronze medals at the First Global Robotics Challenge which held in Mexico. A total of 161 teams (countries) participated. The team won in the Outstanding Supporter and International Journey categories and comprised of five secondary school students schooling in Lagos state. Team Nigeria, made up of four girls and a boy were selected after a competitive process that held on April 28, 2018 at the Syrian Club. The students are Anjolaoluwa Olowokere (Lagoon School), Tochukwu Anyigbo (Lagoon School), Daberechi Onyeacholem (Green Springs, Lekki), Udodirim Iroaganachi (Queen’s College), and Samuel Ikenna Mbah (Osezele Secondary School). Over a period of three and half months, they were coached on teamwork, commitment, problem solving, and critical thinking. This year’s Global Robotic Challenge focussed on Energy Impact. Students had to build a robot that simulated providing energy using four energy sources: Solar, Wind Turbine, Combustion Plant, and Fuel Cubes. In addition, they were grouped with teams from two other countries forming a team of three on either side. In the process they had to strategize and plan with students on their teams from other countries learning the art of diplomacy, public speaking, and respect for other’s opinion. The students also learned about various sources of alternative energy. Mrs. Remi Willoughby of Alofos Science & Technology Foundation which helped prepare Team Nigeria said; “the team visited the Egbin Power Plant in Ikorodu to understand our country’s source of energy, and they were able to reflect on how we can improve energy source in Nigeria”. Continuing, she said that, “while In Mexico they made friends with students from across the globe learning different cultures and even picking up a few words in other languages. This was a chance of a lifetime”. Mrs Willoughby thanked His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano, Governor of Anambra State on behalf of Association of STEM Educators in Nigeria for the moral and financial support to the team, concluding that the team’s success was “made possible by His Excellency’s donation towards our team’s fundraising goal. His donation made our journey very smooth, and we were able to secure visas without incident”. Speaking exclusively with Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Jude Anyigbo, the father of 16-year old Tochukwu Anyigbo said he is grateful to God and very proud of his daughter and Team Nigeria for their achievements, considering the hard work and sacrifice that went into the preparation even while preparing for the 3rd term exams. According to him, “Tochukwu is good in Arts and Sciences. She is the Labour prefect of Lagoon school, We are exposing her to all possibilities to let her make her career choice”. He also thanked Governor Willie Obiano and the state government for co-sponsoring the team. Credit, Anambra broadcasting service 1 Like

NonsoWow:Same anambra chestbeaters boasted that Lagos airport will be overrun by weed if the east gets an international airport. You all are comedians. Truth is, Anambra is a poor state and lack the resources to build any airport |

Enugu state is a poor worthless useless state filled with illiterates and poor people. Even the local airport that was built for them, they can't even maintain it, now everything is crashing down. Keep crying all over the place while Anambra international airport is ongoing. [s] Ogbuefi2020:[/s] 2 Likes |

deboysben: This is as much a catastrophe as the drying up of Lake Chad that Buhari is so passionate about and discusses with heads of gov'ts and world financial institutions as he looks for funds and partners to tackle the problem. However, this is where the similarity ends as the erosion menace in Anambra gets no more intervention from the federal gov't than the token gesture given by the relevant federal agency concerned. Just google Buhari and the drying up of Lake Chad and i'm sure you get enough reading material to engage you till tomorrow! I hope you can all now begin to appreciate why i despise this country Nigeria! We're in Nigeria but don't seem to be part of it! 1 Like |

Xander85: Guy you are taking too far. Anambra has over 900 erosion sites and the federal government and the world bank are assisting the Anambra state's government to fix the sites. If the federal government focuses on only Anambra, do you know the level of poverty that will befall the people at the lake chad region? By the way, it is not only the federal government that is working on the lake chad region, Chad government, Cameroonian government are also involved. |
