Jeep is what nigerians need for their roads. And ofcourse range rover is kind of. They just not used to Jeep yet. Laredo is second to least from what i understand. There are different types: Limited, Wrangler, Compass(not my taste), Renegade(not my taste), cherokee(basic) Patriot(not my taste), Overland(one of the best and aggressive looking), Trailhawk(one of the best and aggressive looking), Summit(best), Trackhawk (aggressive). Most of them can climb anything.

You'll always see disjointed drainages or even none with its attendance effect on the road. You've got to see our ILR has really expanded but with little planning for those outskirts.

My in-law told me that his mechanic told him "don't buy this models, don't buy that models because there isn't effective means to repair them in case of breakdown". I would imagine mechanics or auto workshops should have diagnostic machines for any cars in 2018.

It is easy to repair any car now unlike in the 90s. If they are in need of parts that aren't available in the country, they can easily order from US and have it delivered in a week. If feel like the country is just standing still.

This is 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I was using before I gave it up early last yr due to death wobble. I kept it clean all the time as well.

I used none of them permanently except for 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee pictured. I wouldnt give that one up if not that it developed "death wobble" that called for national recall. So they advised me to let go and upgrade.

However, I see recently it is a good business to rather buy fairly new like 2015 and sell it in nija rather than dealer here. But honestly, if I'm able to sell this, I'm getting 2017 or 18. I don't wanna go back anymore in Sha Allah. Papa don worked hard for me so make i dey enjoy nau . I used to buy bunch of 2001 and sell them back home like Pontiac Montana (my first car), Toyota Camry'01, Chevy Impala (bought this from police detective), Nissan Altima and Lincoln navigator. Sold them all in nija except Pontiac given as a gift..

But then, they were skeptical about Pontiac and impala. These models aren't common in nija. Honestly I don't like to use things commonly used by others. If I am staying for extended time there I have to bring a new innovation. They need to think out the box a little. Maybe that will force auto shops to upgrade or go to school for upgrades. But it doesn't have to hit object before it wobbles. The vehicle shakes violently at front end and it can cause serious accident especially if there is upcoming car right behind you. It suddenly slows down on highways.

Gear and brakes are incapacitated at that moment. It lasts for up to 1min. It is scary. It happened to me several times until I finally gave up and took it to dealer.

An average auto mechanic in naija can't think of that; ordering part. Though in a mega cities now such advance auto workshop in springing up. I remembered one of our corporation car for GM has to be taking to neighbouring state for service, just because those guy have the necessary for its service/maintenance.
