awori iyewa is the major contributing party hosting largest resources in Ogun state and housing all the industries in Ogun and hosting the border etc plus it being the closest part to Lagos, they pay more tax but the egba has chosen to be stealing from the awori yewa people, egba and owu side has contributed nothing in term of tax and resources near the what yewa and awori is contributing to the govt pocket, the Ogun state government should expect a sophisticated militant group from that zone soon if they keep using state resources to develop egbaland and owuland alone, very selfish amosun, he can pick any candidate he want, we don't care but if you guys fail to develop that region, you will see the border power.

The guy who quote you first knows more than you. Yayi has already step down and he’s going for another term as senator representing Lagos west.

Senator Yayi has no political relevance in ogun state. Can Yayi lock horns with Kashamu. Who knows Yayi... One million Tinubus can't make Yayi governor in Ogun State
lol with this development, alot of mass defection will allow pdp to conquer Apc in ogun state with the amosun imposed candidate. I don't argue much here. let me come and be going.

Nothing like Amosun prefer candidate, If Akinlade is popular among electorate, he should get the Nomination form and contest, it his right to do so. But Governor Amosun have no preferred Candidate, era of having preferred candidate is over in this Country..

mumu calculation from a paid sychopant. Is gni not from yewa? Which electoral value does akinlade have? You will sit down somewhere and be typing trash. Have you forgotten about adebutu(omo baba ijebu) as it stands, e no sure for any body. We on ground knows it unless you want to deceive your gullible zombies.
Hmmmm, what a fantastic reply here. most of nairaland politicians doesn't know the meaning of imposed candidate and how party men refused it in their party. 2 Apc house of assembly members have decamp already. more will still defect to Pdp. imposition of candidates will never help again in this political settings. Infact it doesn't help the party. nairaland politicians doesn't understand that yet. they always carry on head and not talking about personality involved. they will soon read more Apc members that will decamp too. let me come and be going.

Can anyone do a background check on this guy to ascertain if he doesn't have PDP background?

Though I want more of Amosun coz he gives value to vote, yes! He has done that to my own vote! but the fear is anyone with PDP (or anything related) background, it'll be quite hard for such a person to ever make headway. Allied-PDP matter is usually like virus, a very hard to cure, for that matter. So plz any background check to ascertain his political history.

Oga, GNI is not sure o. Adebutu is gaining too much grounds for now. If they don't give Adebutu, he will spoil show for PDP in Remo. Also remember that OGD has still not settled with SPBK, and Kasham is just too popular in Ogun East for now.

This man, if it is true is a blunder for APC, but it doesn't mean GNI is save for now.

I hope this is not another plot to short-changed the people of Ogun West.Among all the candidates that have shown interest in the seat from Yewa/Awori axis this man appears to me the least experienced.I sincerely hope the PDP will also field an Ogun west man that will boost the chances of the region producing the governor for the first time.Otherwise I SMELL RAT!

Can someone please tell me the full meaning of GNI? Where is he from?

If Adebutu wins PDP, I think APC might suffer in the Ijebu/Remo axis. They don't want another marginalisation from Amosun.

For people shouting GNI, GNI is in ADC and not PDP. Adebutu will surely get the PDP ticket but he can't win the Governorship election. He's popular in Ijebu East but he won't be getting the support of Buruji that he got in 2015 and the influence of Buruji will surely reduce votes for PDP in East. APC and ADC will share the votes in Ogun West with about 55 percent going to APC due to the performance of the Gov in that Senatorial district. APC will surely get block votes in the whole Egbaland(Abeokuta and it's environs) due to the performance and influence of the Governor in the Senatorial district. There's no way APC is losing the Governorship election in Ogun State in 2019.
Yayi was prevailed upon by Tinubu to drop his gubernatorial ambition and he's back in Lagos assured of the Senatorial ticket of Lagos West. That's the reason Obanikoro dropped his own Senatorial ambition.

Christians ruled for 12 straight years before Amosu. Osoba - 4 years, Daniel - 8 years even Olabisi Onabanjo before them was a Christian. Get your facts right before commenting.

1. He was never a PDP member. If he was, it means nothing because Amosun himself was also a founding member of PDP and he became a Senator on the platform of PDP.

2. There are so many Akinlade's that are in Ogun State politics. Probably you were thinking of Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade who was a Member, House of Representatives for eight (cool years on the PDP platform.

YOU ARE VERY CORRECT!!!
I quite agree with you that APC will win the election come 2019. Though, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka(GNI) in ADC is popular than this man but the electorates will think this is the popular Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade from Owode who spent 12 years in the House of Representatives with sizeable projects credited to him. I want to believe Amosun preferred this man to others, having based his calculations on that mindset to convince the electorates with that name. Moreover, Amosun can control this one easily unlike the other Akinlade who is highly experienced and was also a PDP person who can defect at anytime. Other candidates in APC from Ogun West are not popular in anyway.

As for YAYI, he is back to Lagos like you said with the party ticket in his pocket already. He was prevailed upon to drop his Guber ambition in Ogun State. He will contest again for Senate and win, and he has been promised that he will be a Governor in Lagos State and not Ogun if the story doesn't change later, because it is the turn of Lagos West comes 2023.
Tinubu - 1999-2007 - Lagos West
Fashola - 2007-2015 - Lagos Central
Ambode - 2015 - 2023 - Lagos East

Nothing Uhuru yet. As long as I prefer someone from Yewa to emerge as the governor, this Akinlade will still have to compete with Senator Kaka in the primaries. The Ijebus do not believe in Yewa Lokan slogan.

Triple A, as he's popularly called by his followers will have to work very hard to win over his own party members who are aggrieved for what they termed as a slap on their faces-especially d aspirants from Ogun West...I was there last night where d decision was reached...while some of d contestants grudging accepted Amosun's choice...some angrily went home...including Suraj Adekunmbi, Speaker OGHA.

Though i heard he's performing well as a Rep now in his constituency, but with this man as candidate for APC, it will be hard for APC to retain d State...and with d news in circulation that APC also wants to choose its Senatorial Candidate from d same area-Yewa, against d popular believe that d Aworis of Ado Odo (d LG with d highest no of voters in Ogun) should present it.

Amosun is a political gamer...i hope he knows what he's doing...because this calculation is confusing...time will tell sha
