I and my uncle just discussed Ogun politics. As it stands, it's evident that APC arrangement is quite muddy. But not deep enough to sway them out of the state. Amosun has really done greatly and for the interest of continuity of its dividends, Egbas will still go with his anointed candidate. Yewas, especially the areas perceived to be hugeous in polical strength, like Ado-Odo-Ota et al are likely to fall in for Amosun's dots which consequently will nutralise the strength of ADC/PDP in the area. East, is another chess game. Kashamu is one political influencer, one should not under estimate him... wherever he tilts most likely to win the area. But one disadvantage that associated with this assumption is that, Kashamu remains a suspended PDP member and as such, it's safe to say, he's at logger head with anything PDP in the state. So for any of these aspirants who can earn his sentiment, the better such a aspirant stands. Daniel is also a factor in the East but with one weakness, he's politically relegated (somehow). If the PDP at the national level considers Atiku, then be expecting Daniel's combat 2.0 in Ogun state (which oftentimes, as reputation, it's usually deadly) Cummulatively, Ogun West will be neutralised, no matter what! Ogun central is locked down for APC and of course East is a spoiler for either APC or ADC - the two parties need to work hard here; hut with the second coming of Daniel (if it is assured) only then one can be assured the East is to be nutralised as well by Kashamu factor, GNI factor and Daniel's. 2 Likes |

Ridhwan1: Daniel does not have any influence in Ogun East not even in Sagamu where he claimed to come from. PDP can NEVER win the Governorship election in Ogun State in 2019. They will be presenting Ladi Adebutu from Remo and he won't be getting more than Remo votes(not even the whole of Ogun East). As for GNI, the guy is only popular in Yewa North, Imeko-Afon, Ipokia and not the whole of Ogun West. With bloc votes in Ogun Central, the performance of Amosun in Ado-Odo/Ota which is the biggest local govt in Ogun West in terms of votes, there's no way APC will lose that election 3 Likes |

senatordave1: None of these candidates has a chance against him. The ones who won't support him in the South West would rather sit at home than vote any other candidate. Even in the East there would be a lot of voters apathy which is to Buhari's advantage. Which ever way, the man is winning the 2019 presidential election. 3 Likes |

SojiCash: They know this is their best chance for one of their own to be Governor. It's the first time a sitting Governor will be anointing a candidate from the district and he has no much competition from the district really. GNI won't get more than 30 percent in the Ogun West because he's not popular in Ado-Odo/Ota even in Ilaro and it's environs. Even if all the oppositions come out with one candidate, it will still be near impossible for them to defeat the APC candidate. 2 Likes |

shosky1794: Uncle, I beg to disagree. I am from Ado-odo/ota and i live there. TBH, GNI is more popular across the state than any other candidate. Mind you it is not going to be party this time but personalty. |

AdedoyinO: His performance in Ogun West is relative. Compare his performance to any of the other governors before him apart from 'Bisi Onabanjo. I'm old enough to know that he has outperformed all these other governors in the district. 3 Likes |

AdedoyinO: GNI more popular across the state? That should be a great joke and there's no way it's not going to be about party except they take the elections to Ghana or something. The best GNI will get is to come third as he has always done. 1 Like |

shosky1794: For your mind.... You better tell that bastard long cap wearing governor that his Ogun central is not even sure for his imposed unpopular candidate not to talk of the remaining senatorial districts. It's a level playing field just like 2011 and anything can happen like football. Ogun is not a one way street that you start making permutations like a gambler 1 Like 1 Share |

shosky1794: So when Daniel nominated GNI in 2011, he wasn't a sitting governor It's obvious that you are an Apshit apologist that's why yarning dust like this because even Amosun can utter such nonsense. |
Re: Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade: Amosun’s Preferred Ogun APC Governorship Candidate by shosky1794: 12:29pm On Sep 07, 2018 |
lenghtinny: It's obvious you know little about 2011 election. Daniel wanted GNI as PDP candidate but Obasanjo didn't allow him. Olurin was picked and GNI had to move to PPN while Daniel stayed in PDP was forced to work for Olurin by Obasanjo with the threat of EFCC. You guys should get good history lessons before coming online to argue about what you know little about. 1 Like |

shosky1794: Who told you Daniel worked with Olurin? We all know the chief financier of Ppn at the time unless you want to feign ignorance. Did Obj tell you he needed Daniel's help at the time? What I'm saying is that GNI was endorsed by Daniel and he contested in that election. Whether it was via Pdp or Ppn is inconsequential |
Re: Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade: Amosun’s Preferred Ogun APC Governorship Candidate by shosky1794: 12:59pm On Sep 07, 2018 |
lenghtinny: You contested on the platform of PPN while the one you were trying to ride on his popularity and power remained in PDP and did not even campaigned for you publicly. Still you had the federal government checkmating your every move. Think about it bro, a sitting governor who could not campaign for and with his endorsed candidate publicly. Even Tinubu would find it hard to pull this off |
Re: Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade: Amosun’s Preferred Ogun APC Governorship Candidate by AdedoyinO(f): 2:22pm On Sep 07, 2018 |
shosky1794: You don't live in ogun state, do you? So you think this AAA is more popular than GNI (who has been in the race since 2011) because Amosun nominated him. Ok, mo ti gbo. Mind you GNI won most of the LGs in Ogun west in the last election except for Ado-odo/ota... He won 9 LGs in total. I am not campaging for GNI, I don't know him but remember ogun is not Lagos, we went from AD to PDP to ACN/APC. Even Amosun contested on the platform of ANPP against OGD before he won with ACN. It is too early to make conclusions, the pulse of the people will be felt by the time campaign starts fully. |
Re: Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade: Amosun’s Preferred Ogun APC Governorship Candidate by shosky1794: 2:48pm On Sep 07, 2018 |
AdedoyinO: 9 local govts out of 20 local govts and he still didn't win the election and he had the influence of Buruji in Ogun East in 2015, still came third behind APC(ACN) and PDP in 2011. Also, Osoba is back in APC so there won't be SDP splitting votes for APC. You just confirm now that he's not popular in Ado-odo/ota, the 2nd biggest lga in Ogun Sate in terms of population. I'm not supporting any candidate myself I am just telling what's on ground. I live in both Lagos and Ogun state. I go to Ota every week and I am Ogun West(Yewa North) so I know what I am saying. |

olril17: What were his performances in ado-odo/ota in 2011 and 2015. Abeokuta South, Ifo and Ado-Odo are where the highest votes in Ogun and GNI has always performed poorly in these 3 LGAs. The margins are always very high. So tell me what you know about Ado-Odo that's different from this |
