Kogi Speaker Tasks Okun Youths To Facilitate More Support for Gov. Bello

Following the meeting of a group of Okun Youths held in Lokoja in support of Gov. Bello on Wednesday, 5th September, 2018, the group in furtherance of the quest to achieve their goal, paid a familiarisation visit to the leader of Kogi West, who is the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) M.O. Kolawole in his office in Lokoja on Thursday, 6th September, 2018.

The Convener, Julius O. ABEL said the youths had decided to come together to avoid unnecessary enmity caused by different political interests in order to work towards a collective goal of delivering on a second term for Gov. Yahaya Bello come November, 2019.

A co-convener, Adekunle Ola appreciated the Speaker for always opening his doors to the people and emphasized that the group will do all it could to curtail the abuse of Social Media by some youths against leaders in public offices.

Adekunle Ola also requested for jobs, school fees, political appointments and other empowerments on behalf of some youths stressing that it will help more youths to believe in the New Direction administration.

The Speaker expressed delight with the calibre of Okun Youths who came together with such orientation for the said goal. He said Okun has every reason to continuously corporate and support Gov. Yahaya Bello.

He opined that the group will attract more development for the Youths and Okunland if they continue to preach peace and unity in support for Gov. Yahaya Bello.

Reacting to their request as tabled by Adekunle Ola, the Speaker asked them to go and seek where there are openings for jobs with a directive for them to apply and inform him saying he has assisted several persons for jobs.

The Speaker then advised the youths to be of good conduct and behaviour who  should always take a peaceful approach to politics.
