From waterfalls to beachfronts, beautiful mountains to breath-taking safaris, Nigeria has it all. Here are the 5 must visit destinations.

La Campagne Tropicana in Lagos State

This exclusive resort in Ibeju-Lekki is just 2hrs drive from Lagos airport and is definitely a relaxation haven. This elegant resort boasts of 49 fully furnished chalets and an endless view of the Atlantic. There is something for everyone including chariots, horse-riding, volleyball, lawn tennis, kayaking, children pa, basketball and so on. Once you arrive at the resort, forget your worries and dive into bliss as your security is covered with mobile police, corporate security, CCTV etc.

Erin Ijesha (Olumirin) Waterfall in Osun State

TLC warned us back in the 90s not to go chasing waterfalls but we beg to disagree as they didn’t see the beauty that is Erin-Ijesha waterfall. Cascading over rugged rocks, this waterfall provides plenty of chances for stunning photography, provided you don’t mind getting splashed. You can climb each of the fall’s seven levels and once at the top, the view is simply breath-taking! Due to the mountainous terrain of the fall, there are also hiking opportunities for the adventurous at heart. Other attractions in the state include Ooni’s Palace, Ife Museum, Susan Wenger Sacred Grove, Nike Art Centre and the world-famous Osun-Osogbo Festival

Kajuru Castle in Kaduna State

This medieval-designed villa, enviously located on a hill in Kajuru village, has grown in popularity to become a tourist magnet for all. This destination is best visited as part of a group as there are 5 rooms, a living room and dining area, a fully serviced kitchen, a sauna, a swimming pool, a grill, detached porch and an open rooftop area for partying. Around the castle are breath-taking views of nature which you may be tempted to conquer if you decide to go hiking. Overall, a bit of heaven in the middle of unspoilt nature.

Obudu Mountain Resort in Cross River

With accolades such as “heaven on earth”, “the best place for your honeymoon” and “a place to experience nature at its best”, this southern resort is definitely up there with the best. The cable car to the top of the mountain is definitely an experience to cherish for a lifetime as the car ascends above the mountain, giving you a chance to appreciate the fine details of the mountain below. Activities at the resort includes golfing, swimming, hiking, bird-watching and there is a fitness centre if you are a gym buff. While in Cross River, you may want to visit the National Park, Afi Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary and Agbokim Waterfalls.

Yankari Game Reserve in Bauchi

This is the biggest Safari in Nigeria and currently boasts of having the largest herd of elephants in Nigeria and even one of the largest in West Africa. Best time to visit is during the dry season and the hottest periods are usually March & April. There is a wide range of animal species in this season including West African lion, African bush elephant, olive baboon, tantalus monkey, roan antelope, African buffalo amongst the over 40 animal species present there. There are also more than 350 bird species in the park. Cap off your safari adventure with a dip in the Wikki Warm Spring. When in Bauchi, also stop by the Emir of Bauchi Palace and Sir Tafawa Balewa Tomb Monument.

I've been talking about LA Campaign Tropicana Beach Resort in Ibeju-Lekki.

One thing about this axis is that; is an emerging market with lots of investment opportunities.

Imagine within this same location, you're having Dangote Refinery, Lekki Free Trade Zone Center, Lekki Deep Seaport, International Airport Project ongoing, numbers of multinational companies like Kellogg, Power Oil and many more.

May your children never ask you; where are you when people are buying land in Ibeju-Lekki.

For cost friendly and affordable estates within this axis.

OP I'm afraid your description of the Erin Ijesha Waterfall don't do enough justice as it deserves! Is it "highway to heaven" (as I call it grin) or the rocky decent just to access the waterfall... or the freezing cold water or the gust of wind that seems to be coming right out of the rock behind the huge curtain of water? The beauty is just too much to describe! It is best witnessed!!!

Nigeria is indeed blessed with loads of tourist attraction but many are untapped and remain underdeveloped.

Those that are in charge of Tourism development in Nigeria would prefer to goto The media to recite what they read on Wikipedia rather than promoting the attractions.

Most of the attractions you hear about lack basic infrastructure and some are not accessible. for example, in Obudu, some of the facilities are not working. The cable cab is not reliable. you may go there and the will tell you its not function at the moment.
