It is an affront on the people of Osun for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Mr. Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola to be jumping around the state canvassing for vote under “CONTINUITY”. So, we ask… continuation of what?
Is it continuity of failed and abandoned projects?
Is it continuity of debilitating debt?
Is it continuity of capital flight?
Is it continuity of occultism?
Is it continuity over-taxation?

1. Under Aregbesola, Osun debt rose from N8billion to N310 billion… Oyetola said he will continue with this.

3. Under Aregbesola, N3.6billion was wasted on Airport project… Oyetola said he will continue with this.

20. Under Aregbesola, N17.8 billion was borrowed from Bank of Infrastructure to construct Osogbo-Ila-Odo – Kwara Boundary road and the project is yet to be completed…. Oyetola said he will continue this.

21. Under Aregbesola, N2.4 billion is being deducted monthly from Osun state allocation, thereby making Osun indigenes to be suffering unnecessarily….Oyetola said he will continue with this.

#1.8 billion was the highest monthly allocation received during Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola led Osun State PDP administration and yet he had tangible achievements as a governor:

(1) PDP built University of Osun State, one of the best State University in Nigeria with 6 standard campuses in Six towns of the State.

(2) Construction of additional buildings to
expand the State Hospital ,Asubiaro, Osogbo
and the School of Nursing and
Midwifery,Osogbo. These included students
hostels, pharmacy shops and wards .

(3) PDP government provided 6 Technical colleges, 1 from each federal Consituency of the state.

(4) Promotion of 18,000 Teachers (14,000
primary and 4,000 secondary) who were
refused promotion throughout the four
years of Chief Bisi Akande’s government led AD government in Osun State.

(5) Payment of about N100m Bursary to
students in tertiary institutions in 2004 and
2005.

(6) Commence Home Grown School Feeding
programme to over 150,000 pupils in public
primary school (without begging people to
bring money to continue the programme).

(7) PDP government in Osun State built the best NYSC orientation camp in the country during this period.

( PDP government inherited a 2-bedroom building as government House but within the first one year in office, it puts in place a real
Government House in Osogbo, where Mr.
Aregbesola and members of his APC government now live.

(9) Commenced reconstruction, completion and equipping of the Reality Television Iwo
started by Bola Ige in 1980 and abandoned
by ALL successive administrations UNTIL
PDP came on board.

(10) PDP government stopped 20 percent deductions from civil servants salaries.

:A sum of N5.77million naira released for
the establishment of a staff clinic at the State
secretariat, Osogbo.

Now under Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola with more than #3Billion as monthly allocations and over #500 billion as debts, What is the achievement of APC in Osun State compare to PDP government in Osun State.

64 year old Gboyega Oyetola is the Chief of Staff to the Governor, State of Osun. A man of many parts with vast experience in politics, finance management, business and public administration. He is a man of deep conviction and a religious devout who has progressed in his endeavours by the grace of God, dint of hard work and uncompromising stand on integrity.

He has been described by many within and outside the government circle as a major pillar behind The Ogbeni Aregbesola administration. For his cool and calm demeanour and the wisdom with which he has handled staff relations both the political and civil servants, other sensitive matters of the state.

Gboyega Oyetola was born in Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun. He attended Ifeoluwa Grammar School in Osogbo for his secondary school education which he completed in 1972. He proceeded to the prestigious University of Lagos where he bagged a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Insurance in 1978. Oyetola capped his illustrious education pedigree with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1990 at the same University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

He had his mandatory one year National Youth Service between 1978 and 1979, at Potiskum, in the present day Yobe State, where he lectured at the Staff Training Centre.

In 1980, he joined Leadway Assurance Company Limited as Area Manager and worked there till 1987. He took another step by taking his expertise to Crusader Insurance Company Limited as Underwriting Manager between 1987 and 1990. He moved again in 1990 to Alliance and General Insurance as Technical Controller and served in that capacity until 1991.
