First I don’t know if this is the right section to put this, but basically I want to know if a prepaid master card (not connected to a bank account) bought and funded in the US can be used on our atm over here to withdraw money or is there some other way I should go about it. Thanks

Yes. You may withdraw cash against the balance on most MasterCard prepaid at any ATM. However, not all prepaid issuers allow ATM or foreign transactions. Be sure to check with your card issuer to ensure these types of transactions are permitted

Hello sorry for the disturb just curious do you know of a specific kind MasterCard that can be used in Nigeria over the ATM cos I have Meijer platinum MasterCard and can’t access my funds here over our ATM

Most Prepaid Mastercard bought over the counter in stores like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart & Publix don't offer Cash OR ATM Access.

Alternatively what you can do is to purchase a Money Order using your Prepaid Mastercard from a Grocery Store like Walmart, Kroger, Whole Foods & Public.

Once you have the money order then you deposit into your Bank Account in any of the Big Banks including Bank of America, Wells Fargo & Chase Bank.

Since your name is on it, you can either use the ATM outside the Bank OR you can go inside the bank and hand the teller your card and inform her of how much you wish to withdraw from your card.
