Thanks for let him know!!! This could be unbelievable as we in a country where almost nothing is based on merit. But you have to give it to UNILAG here. It has always been like that even when I was looking for admission some 11 years ago.

Hopefully other schools will follow this standard not magomago admission everywhere.

Please I have 61.25 and The cut off for my catchers area is 61.125 ... please am I good to go ? Shebi 61.25 is greater than 61.125 mathematically

Another trick students can use is to claim the being from one of those core northern states. It might help them get admission.

Cuz I know some westerners claiming to be northerners to school in the north or get admitted into the army.

Unilag cutoff for medicine is so high.

Even with my score of 331 in jamb, I may not have been admitted. I heard University of Ibadan is worse.

Last year Physiology was 61 now 67,medicine last year was 75 for merit now 81,even Law and Economics now have the same cut off,education courses are now 50-55,last year was 40..

That's true for the first list.

I remember coming in the last list for my msc program. You will be surprised what long leg can do for you.

Why is engineering merit so high compared to its catchment.

Is it not the same UNILAG that gave a girl that scored zero in putme ,admission last year,merit list,accounting? And had to withdraw the merit list after some people protested

As long as you beat the cut - off mark either merit or catchment area, your name will be on the merit list. Congrats in advance.

Sexybaby, most federal schools are all the same with their admission racketeering. What is the proportion of those admitted on Merit in the class population? They have already designed a scheme such that the merit score is place very high to only accommodate about 15% of the class population. The rest of the class will be filled through patronage and racketeering. Vc lists dey comprise Politicians, traditional rulers, ministers, pro Chancellor etc, Faculty Dean dey get, Hod, senior lecturers, senior non-academic staffs and the list goes on.

It's surprising Nursing has the lowest cut off mark in College of Medicine. So many candidates must have chosen other courses thinking the cut off would be high. Well,congrats to all who made it. Wish u success.

it actually had the 2nd highest number of applicants after MBBS. I'm assuming those that chose it didn't do well
