This is really creepy. A man was dressed properly and made to sit on a 'throne' at his own funeral recently. The unidentified man was dressed in red attire and a crown placed on his head as he was positioned on a 'throne' for the ceremony which saw his family and friends in attendance. 

The pictures which have gone viral online was shared by Nafi Ali who wrote; if I go to your funeral and you're not in a casket I'm leaving.

Which kind creepy trend b dis So afta displaying him like dat, will dey bury him like dat or dey will still have to stretch him and place him in a casket??

The man is a dead sitting being...That's Togolese culture.They give there corps numerous posture while celebrating his/her before buried him or her.But they make sure its return to the normal posture before placing it below the ground.

They should leave him there after the ceremony o.

They should let the dead rest in peace

The only thing I don't understand is the prominent colour Red. The man and the stage dressed in red.

And a lot of those in the funeral dressed in red too. Are they in a cult.

All these rituals sha. It varies with cultures/locality. There's one that i remember which an uncle told me some years ago, that was in the old Imo state, Isiukwuato to be precise. They would conjure the dead man to move into different postures. Na there you go know say jazz dey. Some cults like Ekpe in Akwa Ibom and some parts of Arochukwu are privy to this.
