Former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, has condemned the suspension of the national carrier project, Nigeria Air by the federal government.

Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, on Wednesday, made the disclosure while addressing newsmen.

According to Sirika, the decision to suspend the procurement of Nigeria Air, was taken at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Duke in a reaction said the launch of the Nigeria Air was from the beginning against the advice of competent experts.

He questioned the federal government to state the penalties and fate of $55 million of taxpayers money purportedly spent on the airline.

Duke on his Twitter page wrote: “FG suspends Nigeria Air Project: This was ill-conceived and against the advice of several competent experts.

“What is the fate of about $55 million of taxpayers money purportedly spent on the airline? Are there penalties stipulated in the contracts? Buharinomics at its worst.”

Very irresponsible and Corrupt Government. $55 million dollars has been looted and Nigerians are not asking questions. The rot in this government is unimaginable.

"Buharinomics at its worst" Infact this is an understatement

It has been like that since inception

Government that will take government who have not managed their state properly to discuss economic matters

No be recession go be the result

Come to think of it, experts warned that this project was designed to fail from the onset!!!

People could not keep quiet and watch things go wrong, Oby irrespective of the embarrassment echoed and re-echoed it!!!

Atlas, were they wrong

Buhari does not have our interest as a nation at heart!!!

Before we boot him out in 2019, he should vomit our $55M first!!!

55 million dollars and not even one tyre to show Nigerians? Buhari you must be jailed in this country whether you like it or not !!!

What do you expect from a certificateless dullard.

Same way he turned Nigeria currency upside down making a big mess out of it.
