Extraction process:

Coconut oil production is done in two ways:

Dry method – This process requires.

Before we go any further though, sorry, you still have to go to the salon eventually to really get your split ends taken care of—by no means is this a permanent solution. "Coconut oil will help smooth the cuticles on your split ends, so your hair doesn’t looked frayed at the end. It also helps tame frizz due to split ends or humid weather." It actually can control frizz on your whole head, not just on your split ends. "It prevents frizz because it's great for replenishing moisture in your hair," Alvarez adds, so you should use it on the driest parts of your hair.

Tip #5: Apply It on Your Hair As a Leave-In Treatment

"I love using coconut oil as a leave-in treatment in the summer," Brown suggests. "The heat from the sun will open up the cuticle so the oil will penetrate your hair even more. COOKING WITH COCONUT OIL

Unlike many other cooking oils, coconut oil is very stable and can withstand high cooking temperatures (thanks to its high constitution of saturated fats). It’s perfectly suitable for sautéing, baking, roasting, and even frying.

Unrefined coconut oil has a strong “coconutty” flavor and aroma, which is great to use in your recipes if you’re a fan of that profile. If not, go for the refined coconut oil, which is extremely neutral in both taste and aroma. (And if you’re wary of buying refined oils, look for a coconut oil brand that is naturally refined and unbleached.)

To sauté and stir-fry with coconut oil, simply use it in place of the oil called for in your recipes and you’ll be able to kick up the heat a bit higher than if you were using olive oil. Of course, if your oil ever starts to smoke intensely or turn gray/black while cooking, you can assume that it’s been overheated and needs to be refreshed with new oil. Coconut is a fairly unique food in this world, being one of the only sources in nature of medium chain triglycerides. Apart from coconut oil, palm kernel oil, and goat milk are really the only other food sources of these beneficial fatty acids. Palm kernel oil is hard to find and not the same thing as palm oil, though there is a small amount of medium chain triglycerides in palm oil.
