my google play service automatically updates itself. Also, I have tried shutting off the notification but it seems I can't. it takes up to 400mb to update every week. please tecno users, come to my aid.. it's really frustrating my life. |

Go to settings, apps, Google play services, data, then turn off background data. This should fix it. Though I leave mine on and beverage experience what u are experiencing. One thing I also noticed from tecno and infinix phones is problem of screen overlay which I have never experienced on my own phone. 1 Like |

Jamie90:Maybe you using the BETA version of Play Services, unsubscribe from the BETA version |

Jamie90:No... just scroll down if you BETA PROGRAM just click on "LEAVE BETA PROGRAM" if you don't see it that means you're not using the BETA version. |

It is not a Phone issue. Check settings. Change it to update over Wi-Fi only. |
