MrMou:

You support a Saraki & a demonic & satanic PDP who've wrecked Nigeria mercilessly for years & you claim to be a patriot? Funny people!

Even if you think the APC hasn't met your expectations, is it the shameless PDP that is now the Messiah when there are other parties who you could push if you claim to be a patriot?
I have said it before that you are not a patriot.
Now let me ask you a few questions;
Do you prefer petrol at #87 to #148?
Do you prefer rice at #6k to #18k?
Do you prefer dollar at #185 to #350?
Do you prefer cement at #1200 to #2900
Do you prefer a loaf of bread at #80 to #350?
Do you prefer freedom of speech and expression to tyranny?
Do you prefer free and fair elections and results to inconclusive?
The choice is yours. Be a patriot!

Some people are so dumb, Saraki's position on the issue is clear , the man said had it been election did not take place in those areas due to unavailability of both sensitive and insensitive materials or faulty card reader ,or total absence of officials then you can call that inconclusive but where an election is canceled due to violence or irregularities then its only court that can pronounce that inconclusive. Reason this with an open mind. The word CANCEL is the main issue here.

How can the constitution says someone who wants to contest for post of governor or president must have senior school certificate but nowadays if graduates are looking for employment they will say minimum of second class upper.

My guy na God go bless you plenty, I do argue with my friends that our constitution needs to be reviewed and amend some issues in it those that did put those laws in effect did so based on how best they understand Nigeria as of then now, we need to either discard or amend some issues in it...... That's if Nigeria truly want to be progressive

The INEC's decision is in line with the electoral guidelines which every party was aware of before the commencement of the game.

So why all this mischief?

Do you expect INEC to go against its own guideline. On what basis? To favour PDP, for which APC could also have protested?

We are having supplementary elections on Thursday not because of cancelled votes, but because of election that did not hold in the affected polling units.

The voters of affected polling units have rights to determine their next governor!

In 2015 Kogi.

Abubakar Audu (APC) - 240,867
PDP - 199,514 votes.
Margin of 41,353 votes in APC's favour.

Result: Inconclusive.

Rerun fixed because 49,953 cancelled votes > 41,353 votes advantage.

Which part of the constitution or law supports this your claim?

So all you need to do then is to cause violence or irregularity like over voting,in every polling unit you are sure to lose, and you are home and dry, abi?

U are making a very big mistake here, we all knew the reason INEC declared the kogi election inconclusive. It is because INEC and Buhari didn't want to declare APC a winner, because Tinubu's boy would have benefited since the guber candidate Audi died before the final collation

You are right especially to the bolded. Can't remind the name of the film that the entire election was down to the invalidated vote of one man. You need to see the kinds of people that came to woo him. He became a god overnight and with the help of his daughter, got a lot of things for his community.

We all know that INEC was wrong in doing that, and we Nigerians and the whole world are watching them.

Just because the election did not favour them this time around, they decided to term it inconclusive.

But they were quick to announce the one of ekiti state.

They should vote 20times PDP, would still win the election

Inec acted accordng to the Electoral Law.
In Osogbo unit, there was no voting at all, so Saraki cannot talk of any cancelation. And that unit has over 900 acredited voters.

Same has Ife North, there was no voting in one unit because of Card Reader malfunction.
Same for the remaining two LGAs.

As long as voting has not taken place, its inec's to make sure those ppl are not disenfranchized

My question to Pdp is, Would they had accepted the result if they were in Apc' s shoes?

Is this the first time elections are declared inconclusive? Even elections APC was leading was also declared inconclusive. Its there in the electoral act. Saraki who should know better as the very arm of govt that gave life to the act should not come here n play politics. The act says if the margin between the top two is less than cancelled votes, its inconclusive. Any of the parties stand a chance of winning if the cancelled votes are recast. The aim of the act is to make sure politicians don't go and commit electoral offences in their opponent strongholds just in order to invalidate votes there and claim victory. Fair to all to me. Stop whining and go prepare for the rerun.
where in the act please? And which act? I really need to know.

So you do not know there is a difference between law making ( legislature) and law interpretation (judiciary).

Continue to support tyranny and incompetency until you buy a cup of garri for #1k. How could someone compare the current hardship in Nigeria with anything ever. APC, a party whose government has not started and completed any project in almost 4 years. Another 4 years with APC will be the worst disaster that Nigerian will ever experience.

I challenge you to mention one tangible thing that APC has done for Nigeria. If the suffering of the masses does not touch your soul, then nothing would.

In my layman's opinion, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was wrong in declaring the Osun Gubernatorial election as inconclusive because the votes in certain polling units were cancelled.

The decision of INEC to cancel the election in those areas after voting had taken place, means that INEC had already excluded the votes in these areas from the election process and therefore those units should have no place in the overall results.

My opinion would have been different if the election in the affected units did not take place at all, may be as a result of malfunctioning of the card readers or unavailability of the electoral materials. However, because the voting took place and was cancelled, only the courts can reverse the initial decision by INEC to cancel the votes in these areas.

That is why I call on our party and its candidate to seek further legal interpretation on this decision by the electoral body. One cannot but wonder whether if places were reversed, and the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was the one leading in the election, if INEC would have taken the same decision that it has taken now.

At this point, it is necessary to also call on INEC to display courage, boldness, independence, neutrality and patriotism so as to send signals to the world at large that the Nigerian electoral system has come of age and that our democracy has matured. The electoral body needs to re-assure all and sundry that the 2019 election and other elections will be free of manipulations and undue interference.

INEC should note that the Osun gubernatorial election is not only about that South-western state. It is about our country and the entire world is watching. Our national interest is at stake. The integrity of our electoral system is at stake. The reputation of the electoral body is at stake. The future of our democracy is on the line. The way INEC conclusively handles the Osun election will determine global expectations from our political process. It should therefore ensure that the wish of the Osun State electorate eventually prevails.

I praise the dedication and hard work of PDP supporters and the candidate of the party, Senator Ademola Adeleke. They have remained steadfast, resilient, focused and determined.

Let me also commend all the other contestants in yesterday's election for their gallant efforts. This is because it is clear they are all working for the same objective from different perspectives and platforms to ensure that the era of mis-governance, pain, injustice and insensitivity to the plight of the common people comes to an end. It is our hope that they will all co-operate with Senator Adeleke to ensure that Osun State witnesses a development-oriented era.

Let me remind our party supporters and the good people of Osun State that this INEC decision constitutes only a delay of the victory of Senator Ademola Adeleke and the PDP in the Osun Gubernatorial election — as our triumph will come either through the judiciary or further balloting.

I thank PDP supporters and the general public in Osun State and note that we got to this point after many months of hard work, determination and focus. We should not despair and not lose our focus and determination to ensure that the final results reflects the will of the Osun people.

Our party is ahead, despite the irregularities. Our people must remain resilient to see this through to the finish. Now is the time to re-strategize, reach out to all the other candidates and their supporters, build on our lead, and bring this election home.

Our supporters and the entire people of Osun State should remain calm and maintain peace as we move forward to see the successful completion of the electoral process.

Once again, I thank all supporters of the PDP and the people of Osun State who stayed up all night, both physically and on social media to monitor the numbers and protect our votes. We remain undeterred, and we all remain determined to ensure that Senator Ademola Adeleke becomes the next Governor of Osun State.

The very same man who hid overnight in the National Assembly car park so he could hurriedly conduct the principal officers election the next morning, while his own party members were away at a meeting he ought to have also been present to discuss the Senate presidency choice of the party.

He disenfranchised his own party members from voting in their very 1st legislative task, just so as to ensure his own personal victory as the only contestant while handing the minority PDP the Deputy Senate Presidency which PDP never handed any opposition party when they held away.
