Not all politicians are bunch of bastards and thieves. Some have got good intentions but have had their efforts stifled by the very many selfish ones and discouraged by some of us who keep painting politics dirty. So, when you think or say all politicians are criminals, you would expect nothing from them but criminality. In the end, you might just get what you want to see. The very notion that all politicians are thieves and dishonest is highly misconceived even though there are many of them who fall within that category. There are well and a good number of good ones in it.

We should raise our expectations, expect better from our leaders and we would see the good that would come out of it.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared governorship election in Kogi state inconclusive. According to results declared by the Returning Officer, Emmanuel Kucha, Abubakar Audu of the All Progressives Congress scored 240,867 while Idris Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 199,514 votes. Mr. Kucha said the margin of votes between Abubakar Audu and Idris Wada is 41,353. And thereby making the election inconclusive because the total number of registered voters in 91 polling units, in 18 local government areas, where election was cancelled is 49,953.

The 2015 Kogi Gubernatorial election was held on 21 November 2015 to determine the Governor for Kogi State. The gubernatorial election is to elect the governor of Kogi state; the official at the head of the executive branch of a state. The last Kogi state gubernatorial election was held in 2011. The incumbent Governor, Captain Idris Wada, ran for re-election against the former Governor, Prince Audu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress.


Inconclusiveness Of The Election

Supplementary Election

The Supplementary Election was conducted on 5 December 2015 in 91 polling units across 18 local government areas in Kogi state. According to the results declared by Mr. Kucha, the APC had 6,885 votes in the supplementary election, bringing the total votes it received to 247,752, having polled 240,857 in the November 21 election. The second runner up, the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, Captain Idris Wada, the incumbent governor, scored 5,363 in the supplementary election. Thus, PDP polled a total of 204, 877 votes, having had 199,514 at the November 21 election.

Now, my question is why is PDP crying now but didn't cry when an election that was conducted under Buhari declared an election APC won inconclusive?

When they lost and INEC declared it inconclusive, they kept mum and happily praised Buhari. Now that APC lost and same precedence has been followed, why are they crying and calling APC names?

What the ignorant secondus/pdp don't know is that it's even in their favour for inec to do it right.if they had declared adeleke/pdp the winner,it would've created a very strong legal ground for the annulment of the whole process at the tribunal. The law is so clear on issues like this,I don't expect us to even be arguing this in the first place. As for the OP,this is nairaland and most people here are simply incorrigible, there's nothing you can do about them because they've been programmed that way.As for osun people give your mandate to whom you think can best serve you,Nigerians deserve better leaderships at all levels regardless of party affiliation.

APC won but yet INEC under the same Buhari(APC) declared it inconclusive because of the same margin reasons.


In April 2015, INEC under PDP (Jonathan was the President then) declared imo gubernatorial election inconclusive after APC won it for the same reasons.

If u are not been clever by half u would have remembered the power play in the APC led to declaring the election inconclusive .

Prince Audu the APC governorship flag bearer kicked the bucket during collation of results and if they had announced him as winner his running mate Falake would automatically have been the governor due to the flag bearers demise but the powers that be never wanted that to happen hence the election was declared inconclusive so as to smuggle in Yahaya Bello as the new flag bearer in lieu of Falake the running mate.
