Bro, an Aba shoemaker can decide to market his self-made shoes as Gucci, does it make a Gucci shoe? Absolutely not. Same way the director or marketer can decide to market a film in a genre that wasn't made to be its primary genre. The expose by you should've told you why the director and Universal are clueless. Let me expantiate.

1. Universal, according to you, submitted it as a comedy.
2. Peele, the director immediately rejected that notion.
3. Universal, aware of their gaffe and cluelessness changed the genre to Speculative Thriller. Another confusion from Universal. This showed that they're clueless.
4. Peele then decided to join in the comedic show by labelling it a documentary which IMHO, it's not. Get Out had absolutely nothing to do with documentary.
5. Peele having realized he's clueless and wrong in labeling it a documentary, then took foolishness to a whole different level by saying it had no genre. That right there shows Peele was high on crack when he said that because no movie ever made doesn't fit into a genre.

So. despite all these tomfoolery by Peele and Universal, you chose to join them and chose TWO opinions over the opinions of several film critics?

Lemme try as much as I can to be very clear;

Let's start with an analogue: There is a huge hostel called Horror. In that hostel, there are several rooms - this rooms are called sub-genres.

Now applying the logic of this analogue: straight from the box, Get Out belongs to the HORROR genre, but if we are to go into specifics, it's falls within the "psychological horror" sub-genre. The psychological sub-genre is what differentiates it from an another horror like The Exorcist, which belongs to "possessed" sub-genre. Get it?

Bottom line, Get Out is an horror (first and foremost), before being psychological, just like The Exorcist being horror first, before falling under "possessed" sub-genre. I don't see how I contradicted myself in any way, bud.
