Story. This is how u can change Nigeria in 72 hours. Pass a law making bribery & corruption punishable by death, the death being public execution via firing squad with the offenders family paying for the bullets. Shikena |

Grammar too much. Fix electricity alone and you'll add automatic $200B to Nigeria's GDP. |

Gerrard59:Lol...I have more money than you. I control a lot more power than you, I don't even notice the change in government, up till today PVC doent mean nothing to me. I know how power and government work. So little worm, projecting your frustration is a bad way of surviving. Trying and eat today maybe you will be able to think better. |

Stories. The problem with Nigeria is Nigerians. How do you hope to change people neck-deep in tribal bigotry, religious fanaticism, dishonesty, cruelty, lawlessness, jealousy and hate in 72 hours? |

Nice write up No 9 is really important Bless up Announcement on these should be ASAP: 1. Non negotiable, Buhari should resign from active politics! 2. Creation of state police which is accountable to Federal policing whenever the need arises! 3. In every polling unit just as it is done during election, collate data of INDIVIDUAL to form a national database! Record keeping will not only reduce crime but ease so many things! 4. Every region should manage their resources and pay tax or whatever to the federal government! 5. Federal government to hold AGM/periodical meeting with State government. No 1 agenda: what are your physical achievement within... to ... 6. Put an end to these incessant strikes! 7. You only give what you have! If Nigerians does not have a steady light we have no business selling to other countries! 8. Everybody cannot be involve in AGRIC! For the state or individuals involve provide on subsidized materials needed! Access and availability is very very important! 9.Build universities to meet the needs of people! For instance university for vocational studies, university of Agric, for medicine, engineering, let it focus on the area of our needs as a nation! 10. Governments should hands off religious/traditional activities as we already have leaders in that regard! 11. Very Important, have a federal customer care centre, let there be hotline just like a suggestion box where people can reach government directly to complain of abnormalities and equally make suggestions. 12. Each arm of government websites must always be active and updated EVERYDAY as the activities changes! Especially FG, it should contain a lot of things like tourist sights and how to get things done in Nigeria! 13. The laws must be specific e.g for instance any one caught in the act of stealing irrespective of who you are goes to 3years jail e.t.c It might not be in 72hours but we will definitely get somewhere in 72hours[/quote] |

Idiots will never appreciate a good post , they won't even read let alone comprehend, it's in their blood The OP wrote meaningful things , Starting with the coup , Yes !! Ibo coup let to the first civil war, Family of those who were gruesomely murdered and their tribes have the right to an apology , It's called healing the nation , The discord in Nigeria today has it's roots connected to that coup Fast forward to 1993 when Abiola won free and fair elections , he was denied the right to rule the country and was even assassinated, all manners of government has ruled Nigeria since then but only Buhari bestowed the honor on Late Abiola , Yoruba people appreciate this and are happy about it , but what did another Igbo say ? He called us sophiscated morons over what is our own right ... You see the trend ? Buhari is trying to fix these problems , Yoruba are happy , again what did ibos say ? they called Yoruba people slaves even on this forum, they said our slave masters are dangling carrots in front of us ! But history has it that Yeebos always partnered with Hausa / Fulani even since before Independence , but when Yoruba partners or agrees with Hausa , it's slavery Another point to note is people stop believing in government, government should give incentives to the people , starting from speedy trial of corrupt politicians , public disgrace, killing or even assasination, that would send messages Review and Update the constitution, Reduce the gap between the very rich and the very poor, by creating average families etc etc, but i have been seeing comments like Buhari is dead, Buhari is a gonner , he's lifeless this and that as if Buhari started Nigeria's problems and like before most of the idiots writing the aforementioned comments are the descendants of coupists who destroyed Nigeria's peaceful democracy for crave for power and want to rule everybody |

Until the issue of corruption and looting of public funds by government officials regardless of title, tribe, or VIP can be addressed. The rest can never happens. This should be a mandatory prison sentences of 10 years minimum to anyone stealing any money up to $100000 and upward. The high the amount the higher the time in prison. You see how things go change fast. |

franchasng:You expect Nigeria to trust Igbos with power so that they can divide the country abi?? You've already proved you can't be trusted with power with your greed and lust for money at all cost. Greed and need is essential in life but when greed outweigh the need, there the problem is. |

Wiseandtrue:Side by side, I think this post is a more realistic approach to the problem of Nigeria than the original one. While I am not saying the OP was wrong, I just think she wasn't fully addressing the real problems this country has. At the end of d day if these two posts are implemented at the same time along with other important inputs the country will definitely change. But 72 hrs...?? Maybe the OP just wanted to use a catchy title to get our attention. True change cannot even be achieved by a government in one tenure. It's d product of continuous effectual leadership that will span over several years. |

Gazzy88:again, you just proved the writer Mr Abdulrazaq right that Nigeria is heading nowhere but doom! My brother, so long as there are bottled up elements of hatred and dislike and mistrust eh, nothing good will happen. Success usually comes with unity, trust, togetherness and peace. Have you seen any country fighting either open or secret war prospering before ![]() Nigeria is fighting secret, cold war within and that is why Nigeria can never develop no matter what. My anger with Buhari is in areas of not doing anything to stop his Fulani brothers from slaughtering innocent villagers at midnight, appointing his people mostly into Nigeria's security apparatus, lopsided appointments, fighting corruption with corruption and nepotism, slow economy policies that turned Nigeria to poverty headquarter of the world, and in few other things. I am not condemning because I believe any president can make Nigeria work when Nigeria is destined to doom with most Nigerians having your kind of mentality about some tribe whom u are existing together as countrymen. Nothing good can come out of Nigeria as a nation. We can only witness individual breakthroughs but as a nation, Nigeria have no future but doom! |
