Trash from a bitter old man. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Anambra has the best medical facilities in the whole of SE.

ONITSHA has the most hospitals in the SE followed by Awka before any other SE states.

Keep crying all over the place but everyone has seen through your lies. Kill yaself but your lies cannot fly anymore. Lol

I'm supposed to cry because a shrimp recycling old internet pictures is annoyed?
O'l boy i don't need you validation. I also don't reply or quote iidiots. Doing it here is a mark of respect for you. I will continue to state the facts no matter whose ox or chicken is gored
Yes, Onitsha has the highest prevalence of quack doctors in the entire SE followed by Aba. The types of shocking practices they do including the so called "blood washing" is beyond comprehension for anyone in the medical field. Governments in the past just allowed most of these quack clinics to continue operating and killing people. Unfortunately, the educational level of most traders in the city make them highly susceptible to manipulation by these quacks. Many of these quacks never graduated from Medical school nor even did the mandatory housemanship. But they come to Onitsha to rent a flat and start practicing quackery and killing some unfortunate guinea pigs with their substandard medical care and surgeries they perform without qualificationb]Yes, medical specialties are not easy to comeby. Most of those people live close to a teaching hospital of functional State specialist hospitals where they are usually employed. Then some set up private clinics in town, thus bring qualified physicians into that city. That is why Nnewi has lots of highly qualified physicians than Onitsha because of the impact of the Teaching Hospital.
b]O'l boy, forget your childish emotional outburst and dig into the matter. You will realize that there should be NO REASON why Onitsha with a massive population should be left for decades without a teaching hospital or a massive specialist hospital. Cities like Asaba that have a fraction of the population in Onitsha have FMC. Having private hospitals should be complimentary to government hospitals and not be the main instrument that government relies on to deliver quality healthcare for its peopleGeneral hospitals are appropriate to serve small sized towns like Ihiala, Ekwulobia or Orlu and not a city the size of Onitsha.

@raker300, you are nothing but an emotional wreck. Since you have been recruited into the folds of those that defeat logic with sentiments I got no words to waste on you.
You all can go and die because someone said there are better hospitals in Enugu than Onitsha which is a universal fact.
In 2001 when my in-law was involved in a ghastly motor accident, it was in a specialist hospital that he was taken to after few months in one hospital at Venn Road South I have forgotten it's name.
in 2012 when I needed to be attended medically it was at FMC Asaba most people suggested and I used it.

There is no mincing word over it, you all can be as emotional and sentimental as you wish but just pray you don't sneak yourselves or love ones to either Enugu or Asaba in search of the best medical attention just because you used Your Own mouth to ruin your destiny.

Onitsha need more investment in the health sector, the percentage of medical personnel per the city population is infinitesimally low.
You all should kiss the truth and stop being sentimental bastards.

Don't mind that raker thing.

I am sure he is one of those useless cult boys that failed out of medical school and has already set up another quack clinic somewhere in Onitsha exploiting innocent people. A topic like this ruffle their feather because it exposes their criminal activities in the city where they pose as qualified doctors and they are not.

I have made it clear that i don't support nor castigate any governor. I am only happy that the current government is investing in healthcare in Onitsha after many years of neglect. Then i gave my reason to prove that Onitsha in particular had lagged behind other cities in public healthcare when compared to it's size. It should not upset anyone EXCEPT they are benefiting through some criminal activities exploiting the status quo.

Hehehehe

He is still crying his heart out. Go and face your dead Abia state and leave a progressive Anambra alone.

Onitsha has one of the best medical facilities in the SE and Nigeria at large.

Onitsha alone has a specialist hospital, Borromew hospital, Waterside hospital and hundreds of others public and private hospitals serving the city.

Cry yaself to death but you cannot change the narrative.

First he came here and started saying that Onitsha do not have a teaching hospital. We asked him, is there any state in Nigeria that has 2 teaching hospitals? Whereas Anambra has COOUTH, NAUTH, Onitsha specialist hospital, among other hospitals within and around Onitsta Borromew hospital, Waterside hospital, Iyi Enu hospital etc. How many states in Nigeria has as much as this, not to talk of mentioning anywhere in the SE.

I am now ready for anyone that is game. Let us compare with pictures and facts, health facilities state by state in the entire SE. That way we shall know which state is lagging behind. The comparison will be picture based. Let us go.

Anambra has the following:

COOUTH- Awka

NAUTH- Nnewi

Specialist Hospital(General hospital)- Onitsha

Borromew hospital(Mission/Govt)- Onitsha

Waterside hospital(Mission.Govt)- Onitsha

Iyi Enu Hospital(Mission/Govt)- Ogidi(Onitsha Metro)

Let me not mention other less known mission hospitals around the state that are equally being funded by the state Govt.

Let the pictures start rolling.

One thing i know is that anyone supporting evil out of sentiment will surely one day be victim of his own crime, this is my guiding light as it concerns governance and development of public infrastructures.
When Ziks Avenue by Ochanja was covered by plastic waste, we called out ANSG and they intervened swiftly and evacuated the waste but many m0r0ns were attacking us for washing out dirty linen in the public. As far as i know Nigeria is a cesspit of ignoble living but i wouldn't allow my own state to be in the bottom barrel of the shithole, we might not be at the top but we cant afford to live below average.

Now people are dying daily in Northern Nigeria from both preventable and non preventable causes but you rarely see Northerners criticize their government, they are on Twitter either attacking IPOB or Trump but their region is on fire. Many dogs here will be hailing them for being sane and wise just because they choose to die in silence.

Inland Town, Awada and Nkpor need specialist hospitals to balance the increasing population

Why are we always attacking each other when we are suppose to be partners in progress.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by rafindo(m): 11:34am On Sep 26, 2018
By Rafindo
KWATA football club the dream of my future.
I was never really interested in commenting online simply because of the perception that talk is cheap but actions are the things that keeps the world growing.
Nairaland has always carved a niche for itself has the largest indigenous online forum in Nigeria and more also, as the melting point of great ideas that makes reality. Having followed this particular thread since day one, it is pertinent for me, to add to the solution market rather than the complaining zone. The primary focus of this post is simply aimed at arousing the minds and the can do spirit of the igbo man. in trying to do that I have decided to follow all the standard rules that has do with objectivity. I don't want the wave of politicism to affect this vision of mine but rather, I seek to open our minds to the possibility of solving our problem without government help or assistance.
Anambra state seems to the most enlighten among the igbo nation because of the abundance of quality human resources at it's disposal , but our clannish, hypocrisy and mediocrity has left much to be desired.
Why all this epistle, we need to create a mark for ourself by creating history.
The establishment and formation of the first community/fan owned football club in Nigeria.
Awka was my choice simply because it is a growing city with no stadium.Which shows how we treat governance and youth employment here in our state. The local football clubs trying to be alive are simply the conduit pipe for politicians masquerading as football lovers and that why our football system is in shambles now.
Kwata was a choice I felt represent the generality of the residents base on the premises that, it's one of the busiest junction, that stand in between two landmark fly over bridge. The name is simply to promote a street just the same way fulham and Chelsea are to London.
But I need help to achieve this dream and what is that, the support of 10,000 strong football enthusiast, lover, die hard and finally spirited individuals interested in showcasing our state to the word.
For those who benefit from the old order are weary of change, why those who clamour for change are seen as rebels and those where the words of the great Italian philosopher Machiavelli.
Change has always been a constant aspect of human life and a continuous trend with no definite pattern. But the best trend should be the positive ones capable of changing our world. My world is football ,as an ardent worshipper of this beautiful game. I can die to uphold my belief in God and soccer for they are the only things capable of creating love where hate abounds. If Jesus where to be a member of the present day world ,the scripture quote of john 3:16 would have been for God so love the world that he gave us soccer has a sign of uniting the world that whosoever believeth in the beautiful game as a means of sharing love will not perish but have a peaceful mind.
After researching about developing the system, I concluded that the community/fan ownership model is the best. This is the best model for a country/league that have supportership and viewship apathy. The model where the community or a group of enthusiastic football lovers Are owners of the club. This will create the spirit of bondship resulting from community identity or fans identity. With this model a club is going to be runned professional as a guaranty/non profit organization under the CAC.cooperate governance will be strengthened as a result of transparency and accountability.
The model currently runned now is doom to be unproductive and unprofessional.
Government ownership breeds incompetence, corruption and lack of competitive spirit.
A good example is enyimba with the spirit the brand enyimba invokes it would have been a professional club if only the government can sell the club to the fans it will be good. Believe it enyimba have a local support ship base of 1 million die hard fans that are ready to contribute 10,000 yearly for the membership fee of the club.thereby giving the club a budget of 10 billion naira.this will entail accountability because it will be run using the barca presidential model.
The individual ownership model is the most ridiculous and unprofessional mode of running a club in Nigeria. Firstly, the owner names the club using is surname and first letters as the name of the club, Eg.ifeanyi ubah, afe babalola, giwa, abubakar bukola saraki fc .common this rubbish how can you expect loyalty to such club if they reside in your area. Illustratively i am from anambra state, the only club in the npfl is fciu but I am a die hard fan of enyimba because it represent the spirit of average aba man. You can't expect me to support fciu because, I don't like the personality of the owner, but trust me if the club was named Onitsha fc,awka city fc, anaedo united or nnewi united and having him as the chairman of the board of director I will have no problem with that.
Individual ownership has fund restrictions due the logistics involved in running the league case e.g stationery stores,Jasper's, udorji united and giwa FC.
It will be joke if we continue to use the same template for 20 years now without success then we need to rejig our thought in order to be progressive.
Who says we can form our club from nairaland and be the change we desire.
As the wise man once said,it is only a fool that think their is no obstacle to the progressive of the great man.we only become foolish by thinking the EPL was built a day and we need not bother growing ours because we will fail .
'Supporter owned', ‘community club’ are phrases that have become popular when talking about clubs. Lots of clubs do lots of great things in their community, and many supporters feel like they 'morally own' their Club.
'Democratic’ to mean the membership of the entity to work on a one member one vote principle.
‘Inclusive’ to mean that there are no substantial barriers to participate as a voting member, with membership open to all that are sympathetic to the aims of the Club.
Any profits are reinvested back into the Club as opposed to being distributed to shareholders.
The Club is committed to running as a sustainable business.
It doesn't have to be that way. According to KPMG, the second, third and fourth most valuable clubs in the world are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Unsurprisingly, the presidents give their electorates what they want, success on the pitch and low ticket prices. Former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell summed it up well: "Barcelona is not a business, it is a feeling.
So is there another approach? For most of us, loyalty to our football club is a lifelong emotional investment. It's not a commercial decision. I will need just 12 people to like and indicate with their email and phone number about this idea.
What do you think?

There is what is called constructive criticism. Initially this same old man you are supporting said that Onitsha needs a university teaching hospital, and when he was challenged that there are at least 2 other university teaching hospitals in Anambra(State and Federal), he diverted that NAUTH at Nnewi should be moved to Onitsha. Meanwhile he is aware that a Specialist hospital is already in place in Onitsha which was recently upgraded from a General hospital to its present status.

What I will not support is when some people deliberately try to re-write our narrative all in the name of posting here. This guy is a bitter fellow and you could see it from his posts so far. He has tried everything to brew e-fight between SE states since yesterday. Now I am ready for that, let us start the comparison to know which state that is actually lagging behind in health sector. We know some parts of Enugu that do not even have health centers at all, we also saw how fowls have turned hospitals in Imo state into poultry farms. I will not even mention Abia state because it is a non existent state.

Let us compare health facilities state by state, that is when you will know that Anambra is far ahead of all the states in the SE. These guys are just bitter and envious.

All we need now is for Obiano to complete the cicle of transformation by appointing a new compete Chief medical Director (CMD) for the new Speci.

Obiano commissions N400m Onitsha Diagnostic Centre
By Uzoma Nzeagwu, Awka
28 January 2015 | 11:00 pm
GOVERNOR Willie Obiano has commissioned the Sun diagnostic centre Onitsha, aimed at bringing treatment of some terminal diseases to the doorstep of Anambra citizens and other surrounding states.

He described the centre as a comprehensive Medical Laboratory, saying it will be a reference point among other hospitals in the Nigeria.

While commissioning the projects built in partnership between the Anambra State government and management of the hospital at the General Hospital Onitsha, Obiano said the multi million complex will reduce the urge by Nigerians to seek for medical treatment abroad and even source for treatment of any terminal ailment home.

Earlier in his speech, the Medical Director, Sun Medical Lab, Dr Paul Lewis Ezeukwu said some services obtainable include: Automated medical laboratory, tumor marker detection and prostate cancer Detection.

He said others are GE Digital, CT Scan, Ultra Sound, Digital Mammogram, EKG/ECK with interpretation, Digital Radiologic Imaging, Fertility Hormonal Test, Complete Metabolic Profile and research analysis.

According to Ezeukwu, experts in medicine and related fields are employed to improve services pointing out that test were sent to the United States any time, but the result are known within six hours.

He wondered why Nigerian patients still travel abroad, particularly India and Europe to seek for medical treatment while they now offer same services in Onitsha area, stressing that India is still a developing country with unregulated medical service.

He identified the challenges affecting health of Nigerians to include: transportation of patients to the laboratory, high cost of treatment, self medication, lack of medical check-up, and poor dieting.

He urged Nigerians to be health conscious, and report any ill health sign to the nearest hospital, while watch what they eat.

The Medical Director also said that part of their contribution to healthy living include creating awareness and sensitizing the public through radio/TV talks and programmes, churches, banks among others, and will offer one week free medical check up for the public beginning from Monday next week.

Obiano also used the occasion to flag off the renovation/construction of General Hospital Onitsha yesterday, assuring of government commitment to provide good health to the people.

He disclosed that governments’ aim is to renovate all the 37 General Hospitals spread across the state, saying that it is in consonance with his campaign promises last year, lamenting that most of the health institutions in the state are not functioning to full capacity.

He further announced that his administration has initiated Anambra Primary Health Management Agency to manage over 300 primary health care centers across Anambra State, urging that PHC system is at the grass roots in Local Governments.

He further said government hospitals receive assistance from the World Health Organisation and other donor agencies, while there is motivation to health workers.

Today General Hospitals now functions 24 hours, with over 300 medical doctors and nurses deployed. There is periodic training for House officers. All PHC centers are under the supervision of Ministry of Health and are functioning properly,” Obiano said, warning that government has moved against quacks that have invaded the medical sector.

Here is what the useless frustrated old man called Oremi22 posted. Now look closely at the list, you could notice that while other states have their own FMC or Teaching hospital or specialist hospitals in just one town which is their state capital, but in the case of Anambra one could see spread of development in health facilities across the state and not just in one city in the state.

Now the big question is this, if those states have everything in just their state capital what about the rest of the state that constitute 98% of the state?

You can now see why I said earlier that Anambra is very far ahead, while we have COOUTH in Awka, NAUTH in Nnewi and a Specialist Hospital in Onitsha among other major hospitals in the city like Borromew, Waterside, Iyi-Enu etc. In those other states in the list does it mean that people that constitute 98% of the state must travel all the way to the state capital just to get healthcare? This is why Anambra is ahead.

Anambra has the best health facilities in the whole of the SE.

Anambra has the most health accessibility in all of the SE.

Anambra has COOUTH, NAUTH, SPECIALIST hospital spread across the 3 zones of the state. Anambra is very much ahead, far far ahead of the rest of the SE. #FACT

Onitsha is in need of one or 2 specialist Hospitals. I could remember that many serious accident victims of Okada transport in Onitsha was transferred outside the state because of lack of capacity.Obiano was advised by some experts on the shortage of highclass specialist medical facility in the city and this lead to the slow but ongoing modernisation and upgrade of Onitsha general hospital into a specialist Hospital. Please Onitsha seriously need more high capacity govt funded hospitals. Udo dili unu!

This is yet another Specialist Hospital in Onitsha, though it is run by the mission but the state GOVT funds it in infrastructures and even pays their salaries. This is aside the Onitsha Specialist hospital, Borromew hospital and Waterside hospital that are fully funded by the state GOVT.

AnambraDota:
What he is advocating for is corresponding government investment in public health facilities in Onitsha since what we currently have are private and mission hospitals. Onitsha doesn't have public health facility that is up to standard, Onitsha General Hospital is not enough for a city with high energy and population like Onitsha. If you compare what ANSG is investing in health in Onitsha and divide it by the population you will catch his drift. How can there be only one obsolete General Hospital in Onitsha, this is absurd and disgusting.

You seem to be the most intelligent anambra person online. Why depend on mushroom private hospitals for large cities. State govt should invest. Notice too that anambra has no stadium or football club only mushroom privately owned ones. Why can't state govt have theirs? And there is no state water scheme only personal boreholes. The list is endless

Most Enugu state people both online and offline are illiterates that do not know anything.

Onitsha has Onitsha Specialist hospital fully funded by the GOVT, Borromew hospital fully funded by the state GOVT, Iyi Enu hospital fully funded by the state GOVT, Waterside specialist hospital fully funded by the state GOVT, Queen of Rosary Specialist hospital fully funded by the state GOVT.

While the state teaching hospital and federal teaching hospital are all in Enugu urban, the rest of the state that constitute 98% of the state does not even have a chemist shop that take care of the health needs of the areas. Even the 2nd largest town in Enugu state--Nsukka does not even have any state run hospital not to talk private healthcare. It is a shame.

Whereas Anambra has its state teaching hospital in Awka, its federal teaching hospital at Nnewi and a Specilialist hospital in Onitsha, among numerous other health facilities. This is what is called spread of development in health facilities. Anambra is very much ahead.

As for sports facilities, Anambra has more stadia than the entire Enugu state. #FACT

I am now ready for anyone that is game. Let us compare with pictures and facts health facilities state by state in the entire SE. That way we shall know which state is lagging behind. The comparison will be picture based. Let us go.

Anambra has the following:

COOUTH- Awka

NAUTH- Nnewi

Specialist Hospital(General hospital)- Onitsha

Borromew hospital(Mission/Govt)- Onitsha

Waterside hospital(Mission.Govt)- Onitsha

Iyi Enu Hospital(Mission/Govt)- Ogidi(Onitsha Metro)

Let me not mention other less known mission hospitals around the state that are equally being funded by the state Govt.

Let the pictures start rolling.

It is part of the larger Onitsha Specialist hospital. Enugu state has no healthcare presence in Nsukka the 2nd largest town in the state. It is something of note that 98% of Enugu state does not have access to healthcare facilities. It is a shame.

These guys are just bitter envious people. They know all these things but they will only turn around to spew this same thing over again. But the duty we owe them is never allow their lies stick, we must always counter their lies and state the right and truthful narrative. cheesy

Both mission schools and hospitals are all govt institutions in Anambra, because it was the state govt that ab initio handed it over to the mission and has been funding them with billions of Naira every year.
