There are speculations that president Muhammadu Buhari and Donald Trump avoided to meet each other at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday where they both gave speeches over the latter's controversial statement some months ago.

It was reported that United States president Donald Trump referred to  Muhammadu Buhari as “lifeless” shortly after a meeting between the two leaders on April 30.

Buhari, the first sub-Saharan Africa president to meet Trump since he was sworn in January 2017 as the 45th American president, was in the US for bilateral talks on Trump’s invitation.

That meeting ended with Trump saying he never wanted to meet someone as lifeless as Buhari again, Financial Times reported citing three persons familiar with the matter.

Yesterday,  Amina Mohammed, the deputy secretary-general of the United Nations (UN), greeted both presidents separately at the United Nations General Assembly, sparking speculations that they might have avoided each other over the tension generated by the statement.

Donald Trump delivered a speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday in which he touted his Administration’s accomplishments, spoke about the importance of American sovereignty and patriotism, and criticized “the ideology of globalism,” among many other things.

President Buhari also delivered a speech as he advocated the reconstitution and expansion of the membership of the Security Council of the United Nations which currently has 15 member states with only five world powers as its permanent members.

I actually went to read his speech's full text as I don't want to waste data. Honestly Trump is the real deal for every kind of nation, he respects every other nation and also asks that they respect America which is awesome, dude wants and seeks for peace but isn't going to back out if you ask for war. Trump is the man seriously and a great president, the kind we need. Imagine unemployment rate at an all time low, 4million new jobs in just 2 years, more secured. Me self like his immigration policy, seriously people need to remain in their own country and build it to what they want not go to America to destroy it for the Americans.

What a load of horse crap! There's nothing like a world president, every country is a sovereign entity. Donald Trump with all his money cannot become Nigerian president.
Buhari with all his faults was a soldier who fought for his country, where was Donald Trump during the Vietnam war? He avoided being drafted 5 times, there is no other quality to him other than being rich and a confirmed asshole.
He even disparaged Senator McCain for being captured during the war! Show me your hero and i will tell you the kind of person you are.

I don't know but I don't think his grandfather smuggled himself or allowed others to smuggled him like sardine into the USA. Trump isn't stopping anyone legally from entering the USA, people still go there. If you must go there do so according to all of their rules/laws if unfortunately you weren't let in, go elsewhere. Do you know why Scandinavian countries are referred to as 'introvert countries?' and also why they're so good in virtually everything an average citizen could want from their country? It's because they don't go out handing visa/entry to every tom dic..k and harry who wants to move there. Remain in your country and build it to what ever you want it to amount to.
