If developing sport in the state is the excuse for this wanton waste of public fund to enable the pilfering of a substantial sum from a single project, that will be very laughable.

Without any stress, the amount budgeted for this one stadium would have created a mini-stadium or training pitch in all the L.G.A's of the state, where the youths will be able to hone and perfect their skills for an annual competition they could have tagged "The Governors Cup" to be staged at the main stadium already on ground.

The truth is that since we don't have a lucrative league maintaining it will always drain the pocket of the govt.. Even the one that is in the nation's capital is not faring well... Even if they can maintain it at the detriment of the tax payers money... Isn't there other more important projects that akwa Ibom people need?

the stadium akpabio constructed is been used by akwa united and the Nigeria national team. get Ur facts straight
