The awaiting is over, the current governor of Ekiti state,Ayo Fayose as finally reacted to the 2018 election held in Osun state.

He took to his twitter handle with caption saying...

With the show of shame that happened in last Saturday's Osun state governorship election in general and the Thursday rerun in particular, there is no other conclusion to draw than that democracy is now dead in our beloved country.

The Osun supplementary election was just a repeat of what happened in Ekiti state on July 14 and it is unfortunate that, again, the will of the people has been perverted.

It was obvious even to the blind that the Osun election, as was the case with Ekiti, was a contest between the PDP and the security agencies supervised by a compromised INEC.

Therefore, we want to believe that conscionable Nigerians and the survival of this country as a whole are at the mercy of God and of the judiciary. And if the judiciary fails to rise up to the occasion, Nigerians will be among men the most miserable..

Security operatives have arrested prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 16 local government areas of Ekiti State ahead of tomorrow’s governorship election.

In something like a commando raid in a movie, joint teams of security operatives comprising the army, mobile police and State Security Services (SSS) this evening embarked on the indiscriminate arrests and generally terrorizing people.

Among those arrested, in Iye Ekiti, the headquarters of Ilejemeje Local Government, Mr. Olaiya Popoolati was picked up by the security men and whisked away to an unknown destination. Another leader, Chief Kehinde Babatola who was also earmarked for arrest, had his wife picked up when he could not be found at home

Democracy died the day gullible Nigerians voted in a known dictator and hater of rule of law as president.

He dealt with Nigerians with whips the last 3yrs, he will deal with them using snakes and scorpions come 2019.

I pity the people of osun ...seriously why will them allow APC to rule them again .....seriously back to square 1.....them go suffer under dis APC govt again....

While Osun mandate will be regained by the PDP, that of Ekiti will be retained by the APC.

PDP bought votes, hired thugs, used charms etc... They technically did everything bad but God has already written it down that APC is what is good for the people and progress of this nation.

I'm quite perplexed that the people that keep changing that they want progress, equity, unity, goodness and the likes are flying PDP bloodstained flag.

PDP is a scourge on this nation, they abhor corruption and they sponsor satanic acts across the nation.

Not all APC members are saints, but what I know is that Buhari is better than the entire PDP band of thieves.

Change is a process. Its gradual its not black magic

Where we are today is a huge improvement from the days of PDP and in the future we will get better
Let me juggle your memory with where we were under PDP

1. Under PDP a NURTW thug elewe omo with security agencies entered the state assembly and impeached a sitting governor Rasheed Ladoja because he refused to pay Adedibu half of the security votes in the state

2. Under PDP the INEC commissioner for Ekiti Madam Ayoka was kidnapped when she was collating results

3. Under PDP Lagos state funds were withheld because they were in the opposition to punish them

4. Under PDP GEJ and Fayose brought military and arrested all APC leaders in the state a day before election

5. Under PDP a murder suspect Teslim Folarin who was in police custody was flown with presidential jet to Abuja

These are 5 examples. Tell me what happened in Osun thats any close to this

Mind you this is just SouthWest. I can give you 5 each from every region

This rerun election has shown that the PDP is a house that stand with no pillars, what stop Fayose from going with Saraki to discuss with Omisore of the SDP. the PDP should stop crying foul, the APC got this one right!!!!

Even though I expect a departure from our electoral past where blatant rigging was the order of the day in several elections under PDP, I have eventually realised that it takes two to tango.

In Ekiti, APC responded to Fayose's stomach infrastructure and vote buying, by out buying him as the only way to defeat PDP.
In Osun as incumbent, they didn't see any need to do same as I predicted earlier. What was the result? PDP (they can never change) almost bought Osun votes into office. The APC's strategy was to deploy security, arrest vote buyers and hope for victory. But you can't always catch all the thieves.

All the videos and pictures I saw of vote buyers caught were PDP agents. No surprise that they did so well even in APC strongholds.
As APC got a chance through the supplementary election, they now used Omisore and Adeoti, intimidation and vote buying to eventually coast home. That was their revenge.

What I've realised is that all Nigerian politicians and parties can never agree to a free and fair electoral system. ONE party must always device means to outsmart the others.
Till it happens that no singular candidate tries to form Political Tortoise, may the best rigger win.
