It's easy to criticize the cops for manhandling him but ask urself these questions...
1. Since when has the bank premises become an alternate route.
2. Is the pothole a well?
3. Was he the only one driving on that road.
4. Why insist on passing through despite the warning to turn back?
Know this..... the same way he drove through the bank parking lot is the same way robbers have on multiple occasions driven into bank premises only to kill the cops and security guards and brutalise and steal from unsuspecting customers.
I'm not supporting what the cops did to him but sometimes our attitude and past experiences modify the way police treat issues like these.

Nigerians love to plead when they do wrong. Banks are very sensitive places and policemen have lost their lives looking after banks. It is not a place you drive into for shortcuts or for avoiding potholes on the road. We thank God the erring man is still alive.

That driver deserves to be dealth with. Though not to that extent. We don't obey rules and orders in this country. U veered through a bank avoiding potholes that the government refused to fix, police officer attached to the bank odered u to reverse and go the right path, instead u started pleading. Pleading for what? To allow u complete your wrongdoing?? Simple instruction u refused to heed. Now u got beaten for stubbornness, u posed for d pix, went online with your 4mb to upload and rant about police brutality. You are lucky he didn't immediately open fire on you for armed robbery.

Armed forces and Police brutalities during the military regime were pale in nature when compared with this silly democratic regime. When the police man ordered you to reverse your car,did you obey him? If you didn't, you're on your own.

Let's know what is a security breach and call it out.
It is totally unacceptable to try that stupidity with a Bank because it's a high risk environment.

That's how robbers plan their operations and escape route. The driver should have turned back when refused exit.

Everyone on Page 1 is mad! See stupid judgements. If the driver had pulled out a gun and started shooting, the same people would have come on Nairaland and said our policemen are not vigilant and proactive. How can someone drive through a private property, was asked to correct his stupiduty and yet refused?

You must be an armed robber or an aspiring one.
In the western world he would have been six feet below the ground by now.
A policeman tells u the area you are trying to short circuit through is a no go area for unauthorized vehicles,for security reasons,being a bank.
He even politely tells you to turn back,yet you insist.
If the police hierarchy should take up this case,I wish that man should be charged to court for attempting to pass a restricted zone and unapproved posting of the photograph of a security officer in the internet.
Both are serious offences if you don't know, of course you wouldn't know because your brain cannot function up to that level.
