Hi guys,

Kindly advice between Samsung A6+, Samsung A8 Samsung S7 Edge or any reputable brand with Amoled display (no tecno, infinix, gionee, umidigi et al)

My criteria is simply display (Amoled screen), future proof design, 3gb ram (min), battery life (7hrs on screen time min), durability & Dual SIM.

Presently seen seller(s) for Samsung A6+ @ 97k (Jumia) & Samsung A8 @ 112k (DSCL)

A better deal will be much appreciated

Get the galaxy a6 plus

Future proof check
Amoled check
4gb of ram check
Good battery check (though I doubt u can get 7 hrs SOT).

I would have said galaxy s7 edge but the design is getting obsolete

Thanks bruv, the A6 plus is quite a good phone. I had a hands on experience at Slot, build and display are very good and current price is 113k. Only thing I'm weary of is the screen, watched a YouTube scratch test video and it failed spectacularly. The hammer test completely shattered the inner screen. Funny thing is the Samsung J6 totally aced the test. I can't fathom why the screen of the A6 is so brittle.

Also discovered at Slot the A8 (2018) was not released for the Nigerian market, hence rang Dscl and confirmed it won't have the 24 months Samsung care warranty.

I'm going to wait for the release of the Samsung A7 (2018) and hopefully see a substantial price drop for the A6 plus then get either it or the A7 (2018).

Thank you greenhulk, I bought the A6+. Played safe and bought from Slot at 111k for peace of mind with the 2years Samsung Care Warranty. Discovered the A6+ online (jumia) is not for this region & isn't covered by Samsung Nigeria warranty
