I am sorry but this was a wrong move. This is only the primaries and you are This shaken and distraught. Incumbent governor trying to discredit his party opponent. funny thing is that, all sanwo-olu has to do to counter thsee allegations is to state that the governor knew all of this and still retained him as a staff. That the fact that the incumbent has retained him for long shows a vote of confidence from the incumbent. He should just go ahead and state that he has no grouse with the incumbent. That he has served under him for more than 3 years, he has seen his lapses in governance and he is only here to correct his mistakes and improve on his achievements.

Ambode was brought into politics,forget about his years in the civil service.Yes,Tinubu might be playing the godfather role,but if you know him well,he doesn't take decisions alone.Tinubu doesn't ignore and look down on the leaders that made him their LEADER.I know he regrets his decision to bring forth Ambode in 2014,ahead of 2015 elections. He wanted to use him to spite Fashola because of Fashola's issues with him...He totally ignored things that Baba Eto,Fashola,Banire and few others said about Ambode. Everyone was indifferent about Ambode in 2014,and it took Tinubu a whole lot to sell his candidacy to the leaders,even taking him to the Oba of Lagos.I guess the reason the Oba has been silent on this all along.
If he scales tomorrow's hurdles,expect barrage of attacks towards him. He won't win this battle,I am so sure of this. However,he should know that there are people who know his secrets too. I wouldn't go into few things that are known but his political rivals will sure come attacking back...

It baffled me why Ambo wasted a lot of precious time to start reacting and to answer his father's name. Few points to be clear about:

In 2015 tinubu imposed Ambode who was fired by fashola to be governor. It was okay then for ambode to be imposed and suddenly not okay for him to be disposed by the same people.

In the 2015 primaries, supo shasore and hamzat didn't throw personal insults on Ambode despite Ambode having tinubus backing. Hamzat at least has been in Lagos alausa politics when ambode was still in the local government

Sanwaolu has never in any of his utterances insulted Ambode. Kwam 1 and some party leaders like baba Eto and muiz banire have been critical of Ambode but not sanwaolu

What decent human being uses ones health condition to fault him on national TV. Even people sympathetic to ambode have said the press conference is a new low which clearly shows he's not a politician. In 2011, a bunch of protesters stormed alausa to protest against tinubu to support fashola second term. You know what fashola did ? He went live on LTV immediately and told all parties to calm down and He praised tinubu and the party structure and promised to align with the party. Mind you that almost half of the party structure supported fashola but he never turned on tinubu or the party while albode cannot even boast 10 percent of support from the party.Same fashola that didn't support Ambodes candidature and even fired Ambode from his cabinet campaigned vigorously for ambode simply because he understood the party is supreme. This Ambode is throwing the party under the bus

Ambode is blackmailing the party by saying in his press conference that the only way Buhari can win Lagos is if he remains as governorship candidate. Ambode or no ambode, I as a person will not vote Buhari. Buhari has been demystified and is not the enigma he once was. Fashola was imposed. Ambode was imposed. Now sanwaolu imposed. Nothing new even though it's wrong

All in all, i have always said , tinubu is powerful but not that powerful such that 99 percent of the party structure is against ambode. Even fashola and muiz banire that are against tinubu in a way are not supporting Ambode. This press conference is a new low but I still wish him and his advisers/supporters all the best
