Face your dungeon called Enugu where your useless gov hasn't be able to achieve anything in 4yrs other than accumulating debt.

Obiano ve no single road project in Nnewi
But why? Maybe nnewi should work to emerge next governor. That was the case for Nsukka and Ngwa
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by bestview: 1:55pm On Oct 01, 2018
Nnewi has a far bigger economy than Enugu which is over 100yrs still yet Enugu is filled with slum, shanties and bad roads. What has your govs actually done than accumulating debt?

odogwu125:

Government must be part of development or else it results in disorder. Why is obiano not building nnewi? Do you know that all roads in Nsukka now have sidewalks?

85℅ of Enugu state is still rural area. I think the successive govts in Enugu has failed in opening up the state so that development can spread out.

Obviously, Nnewi has being abandoned by two successive governors (Willie obiano and peter Obi).
Both of which used Nnewi for partisan politics were roads instead of being constructed are barely maintained.
All the residential axis have no road , he just went and snapped nkwo nnewi market, I can't even see bank road here.
Willie is indeed working but obviously not in Nnewi.
Datz just the truth.

I really thought that Grand Hotel Asaba would do this when they launched and kept hammering on cruise along the bank of the River Niger.

I hope a 5 star hotel will establish along the Anambra river bank of the Niger and they can have a day One-day voyage trip on perhaps a smaller cruise ship to important landmark locations along the bank of the River Niger. I am sure tourists will like to take such short one day voyages once a week or month.

They work with the Nzam community to do a once a month cultural display at a newly built site on the bank of the River Niger. OR can build a small volleyball court, horse riding and other activities at Nzam so that they can get tourists there to disembark and participate in a small tourist festival before sailing back to Onitsha base of the hotel.

They have something similar in Ghana, but on the lake.

We took a boat trip on this massive body of water.....so expansive that at a point in the journey i actually thought we had somehow found our way to the Atlantic! There was entertainment and food on board during the trip to and fro...which was a day trip to a little island in the middle of the lake where we spent an hour just chilling and looking around. I was even pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the environment and smooth roads during the trip to the lake from Accra. Also noticed a very nice looking bridge (quite reminiscent of the one in Sydney) which i was told was built by Rawlings.

So from my little story you can see a country that actually appreciates the value of peace and tourism, unlike is the case with Nigeria!

Nnewi must take over aftet Willie. It seems to be the only way things get done. Nsukkas and Ngwas did same

That's just the truth.
The last election Willie obiano came to Nnewi for campaign, he was asked to tell us the reason why we need to vote for him he had none.
He only capitalized on given us back an embattled piece of land.
Indeed they have abandoned the town and the next governor should come from Nnewi.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by bestview: 3:53pm On Oct 01, 2018
When shall people from Ngwo/9th mile rule Enugu state to at least develop to have roads. We even need some from Enugu urban to rule Enugu state to provide ordinary drinking water in the town and develop it properly.

These are schools in Enugu. What's Ugwuanyi doing to improve education so that Enugu state will stop trailing northern Nigeria in education?

Enugu generates more in IGR than Anambra every year and many of Anambra's richest sons live in Enugu. How can Nnewi be a far bigger economy than Enugu? And while you can criticize the governors of Abia for example, or Imo, Ugwuanyi and before him, Sullivan Chime, were working governors for Enugu. I mean, I went to UNN a few months ago to collect my degree cert, and I couldn't recognize the place with the sweet roads (with pavements, proper drainages and culverts, street lighting etc) from Opi to Nsukka.

Chino, change your ways. You're making this an ugly forum for many Igbos and you make us look bad to outsiders. I mean it sincerely.

Olisah get lost you are not making any sense. Nnewi economy is bigger than the economy of Enugu state as a whole. I don't care if it hurts you badly.

Forget the figures they are dishing out as IGR. Even Ebonyi once posted higher IGR. There are more Enugu state people including rich and poor resident in Anambra than Enugu state people resident in Enugu.

Enugu does not have economy.. The only thing that sustain enugu is federal allocation and small change collected from ogbete market and camp with school fees. Dats all. D only industrial estate in enugu is emene breweries at 9th mile...

Nnewi economy is bigger dan enugu...
D only source of labour in Enugu is government civil service.. The youths re unemployed... How do you guys even dare compare dilapidated enugu to anywhr in Anambra..

Nnewi is city to enugu people... The first place an enugu man who want to be somebody in life think of is Nnewi and Onitsha

Eziokwu? So by what metrics or data do you come by your claim? Abi, we can just claim anything we like at any time because it makes us feel good? Enugu is a former regional capital housing many Federal Government departments and ministries and agencies, and has a strong corporate presence and Anambrarians themselves are big contributors to Enugu's economy. This is why the city centre of Enugu has the most vibrant real estate market in the South East. Nnewi is a chaotic mess. How can Nnewi be a bigger economy than Enugu? By which facts or data?
