I entered this thread hoping to learn more about hybrid cars as I intend getting one(2007 Toyota Camry).
To be honest. This thread is relatively empty save for the fre links the OP provided. Now I want to ask a few questions with Toyota Camry hybrid in mind.
1. I read somewhere that the battery will provide power to the wheels when speeds are below a certain range is 30mph. What happens if the vehicle is driven for long at the speed and the battery drains? Will the engine automatically come on to charge the battery?
2. Using the battery obviously extends the life of the engine, that also leads to extended oil change. Do we still observe the 5,000,km service interval even though that might takw a year plus?
3. Where can one purchase brand new batteries on Nigeria or do we have to order it abroad..then how long does the average hybrid battery last?
