I have a website that has a blog in it.
This is what I want to achieve. I want to create topics as an admin. In the textarea box where I will input the body of topic before posting. I want a situation where I can use html tags such as bold,italics and change font color on the textarea box and the output will be visible after posting the topic.

That's depends solely in the platform you blog was built on. If you can be more specific with the platform your blog was build on, maybe I can suggest a text editor that will help

yeah, just saw it thanks, it probably didn't work because I have used some php striptags function to preserve the dbase from injection.
will update u if it works

It didn't work out even after removing the real escape string and stripslashes.
It still printed out "<b>this is d text to bold</b>" when I used by the bold tag
By the way I am using a prepared statement.

yeah boss.php with MySQL as dbase.
sorry I thought u were saying if d blog is on blogger or WordPress

Just use htmlspecialchar_decode to echo the output. . It will remove those tags

Do you use htmlentities, or any of those html encoding functions?
Try using print_r() to show the result returned from your DB and send a screenshot.
