That was because in a particular scene in that movie (when they tried exorcising her in the barn)

They used the "real life" voice recording of the Demons in the movie.



So technically you will hear Demons speak while watching the movie.
Watched it many times in the dead of the night, e no shack me one bit.

How good is it

It's pretty good. It's more of a courtroom thing than it's a horror film, though. Laura Linney (the woman currently playing Wendy in Netflix tv show, Ozark) was excellent in it.

Slow and ponderous build up, but once it gets going, it's a major thrill ride. Nothing spectacular, but a lot to keep you invested and amused. Love how they fleshed out certain personalities of Venom. I certainly would love to see more of the symbiote in the future. Wished it was R-rated like Deadpool. Would have been more fun.

The 2013 remake is the tv series version from the original movies.

The original Evil dead 1,2&3 was created in the 1980's

no! It wasn't a TV series. It was a full length movie, about 1hr 30 mins or so. I didn't really like it. It pales in comparison to the original released in 1981

The First Purge.. 7/10

An amazing insight on how the purge began.... So initially, people never wanted to kill themselves during the purge.

Frankly, the whole stuff about religion and it being a true life story ruined it for me.

I personally think they romanticised the characters, especially Dr Dre. The producers conveniently left out his anger issues and despicable habit of beating up women.

because it usually make people congregate in church because of fear.

The whole concert of Heaven and Hell and the existence of demons and the possessing of humans makes people more susceptible.

Also, seeing that the Catholic Church is involve makes it another case that call for serious scrutiny.
