Timeline of Atiku's defection


2006 - from PDP defected to join Action Congress
Reason - disagreement with OBJ. Crossed to get AC presidential ticket and compete in 2007 general election.

Outcome - lost ticket to Nuhu Ribadu
Duration in AC - 2006 to 2009





2009 - from AC defected back to PDP
Reason - disagreement with Tinubu. Crossed to PDP to get presidential ticket and compete in 2011 election.

Outcome - lost ticket to Goodluck Jonathan
Duration in PDP - 2009 to 2013




2013 - defected from PDP to form nPDP.
Reason - disagreement with Jonathan and Bamanga Tukur. Failed to get Jonathan to drop his 2015 ambition.

Outcome - lost ticket to Goodluck Jonathan.




2014 - defected from nPDP to APC.
Reason - to get presidential ticket and compete in 2015 election.

Atiku announced on September 2014 that "As for me, as far as I am concerned, APC is my last bus stop"

Outcome - lost ticket to Muhammadu Buhari
Duration in APC - 2014 to 2017.



2017 - defected from APC back to PDP.
Reason - disagreement with Buhari and Tinubu over ticket for 2019

Outcome - Buhari is given APC ticket for 2019.




2018 - in PDP for the fourth recycle
Reason - to get presidential ticket for 2019.

Outcome - bribed PDP delegates in foreign currency and got presidential ticket to run against Buhari in 2019.




2019 - general election, Buhari (APC) vs Atiku (PDP)

Outcome - lost to Buhari (APC)





2021 - defects from PDP back to APC.
Reason - disagreement with Uche Secondus. Crossed over to get APC presidential ticket for 2023 election.

Outcome - lost ticket to Yemi Osinbajo.

Since the inception of this democracy in 1999, PDP has needed the SW votes to win presidential elections. The reason PDP lost 2015 elections was because they lost some of their strongholds to APC, eg Benue, Kwara, Kogi, Sokoto, Katsina, Plateau, Niger, Adamawa, Bauchi, Imo etc.

We the people love Atiku....Even if Atiku defects from PDP to APC to APGA every 3days, we would still vote for him...

Don't you undeeatnd that Buhari is going home next year??
