Searching.. 9/10
Genre: Psychological Thriller

This movie kinda brings something new to the thriller genre, the combination of a clever concept & a strong performance by it's lead, I think are some of the reasons the movie got its high ratings on Major movie review sites online. I was initially skeptic about John Cho's performance, knowing him fully well to be crowd-pleaser when it comes to comedy but I am glad to see that he really outperformed himself this time.

The ending really gave me goosebumps( when they found her to be exact). Never underestimate the power of the internet & social media platforms.

Can you show me where I made this assertion? I await.

Can you show me the post where I made these assertions from the bolded?

For real?

TheKingIsHere:

There was no need to show how unprofessional the customer officers or any other para military office operate in the film. It was totally not needed.

If they wanted to do a documentary of how the customer officers operate then they can create one for it.

So where in this post does it imply that "movies are not mediums that should be used by people to criticize officers of the law"?

This is my stated again; "there was no need to show how unprofessional the customer officers or any other para military office operate in the film. It was totally not needed.

I was referring to wedding party 2 movie as there was no need for that scene and over display by Sheyi law. The scene should have just shown how the white parents arrived the airport and picked up. No need for all those drama and over acting in that scene.

I never stated that movies are not mediums that should be used by people to criticize officers of the law neither did i imply such. Thats why i further stated they if they want to criticize them (officers of the law), they can do a separate documentary film on it. I dont care.

What everyone wanted in the wedding party 2 is to enjoy the movie but too much over acting, unnecessary scenes and shouting killed the film. Shikena

What happened to Monday 11/10
Though I caught some plotholes, don't know if they are worthy.
1. The siblings dug out out the fact that Monday transferred some huge amount of money to that witch of a woman without a her own signature. How is that possible in the American banking system without raising a flag. Is it possible?

2. When Thursday decided to disguise as Monday, how come she knew the exact EARINGS Monday was wearing on that particular day? This can be seen when they were both fighting. The coincidence was too much.

What do I know sef?
Koice, Beorn, Jerome make una explain for me ah beg. I want to understand.

Bro, I watched that movie mid last year, it's not possible for me to remember these two findings unless I watched the movie again, and frankly, I've many TV series to catch up on, for me to go re-watch the movie. Sorry, I can't be of help. I don delete the movie sef. grin

Wedding party 2 6.5/10 as per Nollywood standard.

Good story telling, and good acting.
It more of show of affluence.

6.5!!wow, it's like I watched mine at the back of my TV. The acting I agree was a little bit ok, but for the story, I think is 95% cliché to the first wedding party.

And alexistaiwo what was wrong with them showcasing how unprofessional the country's custom officers operate, which countries law enforcement agency is perfect?? Go see Rush Hour, the scene were Carter was asking his fellow black cop for favours reminding him how they smoked WEED together while on duty, now, isn't that scene supposed to portray the American police in a bad light, but the fact is that they do smoke some of this shi.t while on duty.... What am trying to say is that Comedy movies tends to use satire to showcase some of the vices in the society, its no biggie

The evil dead tv series is called Ash vs Evil dead. It is not up to the original Evil dead 1&2 film, so dont expect it to be top notch.

However, if you have spare data and time, you can download it as it is just 6 episodes per season (not exactly sure though) but it wont consume your data much.

Start with season 1 first.

I didn't say you used the exact words, lolz.

You said, and I quote;

"There was no need to show how unprofessional the customer officers or any other para military office operate in the film. It was totally not needed. If they wanted to do a documentary of how the customer officers operate then they can create one for it."

What you're basically implying is this: that it is wrong and unprofessional for movie producers to air the dirty laundries of corrupt officers of the law in movies. That it should be reserved for documentaries.

Re-check your statement in your previous post again.

You stated categorically that i was of the opinion that movies are not mediums that should be used by people to criticize officers of the law, which I never stated in any of my post nor implied.

When someone insinuated yesterday that Searching was so boring he deleted it WITHIN 10 mins, it reinforced my earlier submission that many Nigerians cannot recognize an intelligent movie. I can bet my left testicle that if Upgrade had no action/fight scenes, some people would've rated it 2/10. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

My statement never implied such, it is your own assumption. Never was it in my statement and neither did i imply such.

However, like I stated earlier, there was no need for AY and sheyi law scene. They both over acted and were not funny, hence those scenes shouldnt be there in the first place.

Is just like saying AY scene is also important because that show how some Nigerians behave, so it is important to display such.

But as someone who wants to watch and enjoy a movie, I dont need such baseless scenes and acting. There was no need for them in wedding party 2. Shikena.

There is no need for unnecessary dragging and argument. Let it end here

What made it subjective for me was the fact that concept was built on something we all relate to everyday of our lives( smartphones, laptop screens, browser windows and surveillance footage)
