The Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of selective justice.
The association said by excluding the names of Senators Iyiola Omisore and Musliu Obanikoro from the list of those purportedly banned from travelling outside the country, because of corruption cases hanging on their neck, was tantamount to selective judtice.
The two names are conspicuously missing from those affected by Order 6.
The group said this in a statement made available in Osogbo on Sunday by the President, Olalekan Hammed; and Secretary, Olawale Ajao.
They said the exclusion of the two politicians from the ban was a further confirmation that Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade was selective and one-sided.
The Yoruba youths expressed dismay at the exclusion of the two politicians who they said were accused of corruption.
The statement read: “The anti-graft war embarked upon by President Muhammadu Buhari since the inception is nothing but a weapon to fight opposition parties and critics.
“In 2015 when President Muhammadu Buhari assumed office, there were reactions from different angles that his anti-corruption war was aimed at targeting only the perceived enemies of government.
“The Presidency denied the allegation, and argued that no matter the parties they belong, all the corrupt people would be dealt with decisively.
“To our dismay, Obanikoro and Omisore, who have been charged with corruption, suddenly became saints as soon as they joined the All Progressives Congress.
“It is saddening to know that the names of the duo were not included in the so-called Executive Order 06 signed by Buhari and banning high profile public officials from overseas travel.
“His action affirmed the fact that the current anti-graft war is deceptive. There should be justice and fairness in the corrupt fight.”
It will be recalled that Obanikoro, who was accused of corruption while in the Peoples Democratic Party, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Also, Omisore, who is a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party, assisted the APC governorship candidate in the September 27 governorship poll in Osun State to win the crucial re-run election in his stronghold.

Those aren't Yoruba youths , they are a section of PDP trying to make themselves look like they care for justice


I know that Obanikoro was jailed by EFCC for days , He asked for soft landing as the Buhari government graciously offered , so far Obanikoro refunded about 800M to 1B


One of the reasons why i campaigned against Omisore in Osun elections was also because of his corruption case, he was detained for weeks after elections in 2014 , he also copped a plea and returned about 400M and as since been returning


Buhari's administration was approached by some so -called pastors who begged for soft landing , If i remember correctly "Bishop Mathew Kukah Wants A "Soft Landing" For Jonathan and his buddies ,


Even after several attempts to blackmail Buhari , Patience Jonathan opted for soft landing as well and it seems she's no longer in the news like she used to be , even Tompolo forfeited his 40B in skyebank and disappeared off the face of the earth for a reason


Let's try and be objective sometimes, call me zombie all you want but this is reality
