You know what, whenever you want to lie, doing it sensibly. You are not replying kindergating. Aba riot, no woman was killed. It was a protest just like the Abeoukuta women riot lead by Funmilayo ransome kuti against british. It was a protest, a revoult against policies imposed by british colonial masters. No woman was killed. Na so una go dey lie on top everything. Same happened in Abeokuta where yoruba women lead by Fumilayo kuti revolt against british colonial master when they challenged colonial rule.

While, admittedly, the APC and PDP are not the best in terms of Presidential candidates, any candidature outside these two flawed political habitats, is a waste of time. You see, politics and the life of a nation isn’t built on hope or faith or something close to the miraculous. It is built on pragmatism.

And this is nothing new. American democracy, does not revolve around the two parties, the Dems and the Republicans; there are a few others as well. The British does not revolve around the Labour and Conservatives; there is the SNP and the Green Party, for instance. However in these countries, these pair of parties hold considerable advantage in winning elections due to memberships, party structure and experience of key members, amongst others.

So choices are made from these two flawed parties.

The same with Nigeria.

There’s little sense, in voting for a party which, unless we want to deceive ourselves, will not take 2% of recorded votes if an electoral simulation is done. Why waste ones time in advocating for such a party— especially as elections are barely 4 months away?

Parties that disappear after elections and suddenly resuscitate 6 months before an election are not parties one should ideally take serious. Personally, I would advise them to embed themselves and grow within these two main parties. That was how Obama became President. He was, I‘ve read, not a Democrat or Republican at first. He took his time and it too years. But it happened.

They should go and do the work needed.

in all honesty which candidate do you think can defeat Buhari amongst other candidates given what it takes to win a presidential election in Nigeria?
Atiku might not be best but he seems to have all it takes. Nothing stops you from joining and putting him to task to make sure that your aspirations work out.

For me I like being real those guys cannot stand Buhari even if the elections are conducted ten times.

Don't expect atiku to be that different, alot of politicians will be working to make sure he wins and if he wins, no matter any intention he has, he will first return favour to those who worked to put him there... Nigerian are not the first people he is concerned with. I will cast my vote for sowore even in my sleep. I will vote to have a free conscience. Most people who voted Buhari in 2015 are still regretting it up till now

For anybody to win presidential elections in Nigeria you or your party must have a grass root presence in all the local government wards of the 36 states, you need to wake up from your dream. The only parties who have such representations is the PDP and apc. Politics is not like eating amala and ewedu it is serious business.

If this insult came from some unknown street youth association it would be dismissible....but coming from Ohanaeze ndigbo raises its significance and confirms the age-long belief that Ibo rise to power in 50s and 60s was assisted by external influence made possible by presence in Yorubaland and in fraternity with Yoruba politicians.

After the fraternity broke and the two sides kept to itself Ibo has not risen to another political prominence. They have been a sitting duck begging and pleading to be allowed to rule. Yoruba on the other hand has made successful grabs and attempts on its own, unaided.

In fact, they have not been able to repeat the feat of NCNC ever since.

Yoruba meanwhile has succeeded with AG, with UPN, with AD, with ACN and now with APC.
