Did you know that President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016 directed the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) to synergise their skills and capabilities to build 30,000 housing units in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Kano? This National Housing Program is part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Family Homes Funds (FHF), a N1 trillion Federal Initiative, established in 2016 to deliver housing for low-income and middle-income Nigerians. The Initiative has completed 582 houses in Nasarawa State. Under President Buhari’s Family Homes Fund initiative, 757 houses are currently being built in Kano, 4,000 houses ongoing in Kaduna, Ogun and Delta States. This project has created more than 2 million jobs for unemployed Nigerians.
