The elite arm of the Lagos state All Progressives Congress (APC) party has reportedly hatched further plans to completely oust Governor Akinwunmi Ambode out of the gubernatorial sit even before the end of his tenure, following the successful bid to replace him as APC’s primary candidate for the upcoming elections for Lagos state governor. The hatched scheme by the ruling party which has been said to now be at an advanced stage is said to be a last-minute solution to a feared defeat of the party in next year’s gubernatorial election. However, the state is in a current state of division in regards to the impeachment of Governor Ambode. Meanwhile, the Factional chairman of the state’s group of the party, Mr Fuad Oki, has warned the Lagos House of Assembly to drop its threat to impeach Governor Ambode or it would incur the wrath of the people of Lagos.
