I agree with all you've expressed here but we all know these things. It's really common sense, but in football , though, more often than not, the form-book is thrown out the window in games involving the big sides.
Take Bayern for instance, after a ridiculous week, they picked themselves up and went out to beat Wolfsburg, despite going a man down. I didn't see anyone here make a fuss about giving that game to the Bavarians.

Germany was one of the hardest place for me to get good straight win predictions when I was very much into sport betting and I didn't play Bayern at all because they usually return the opposite of what's expected from them. I prefer to stake on or select a team that will score over 1.5. It brings better odds than straight win.

Bayern drew with Ajax and lost to Monchengladbach, that isn't really horrible considering the fact that the two teams are in excellent shape and Monchengladbach has always been a pain in Munchen's ass so you can't base your prediction on the result from the two games.
