too much copy copy mentality.....some years back, fashion industry used to be ankara-ridden and much cultural...but what we see now is trying to be western...even when they know they can't beat the western designers..African content makes us unique.

I really love fashion when it’s creative. I like pix2,7&8 and Sm of the last set of pix.


On ur remark everything about Nigerian fashion can’t be limited to Ankara, there can be different collections eg ankara collection, other local fabrics, mixed, retro.. etc .. Sadly we have a peculiar challenge in this part of the world cos we don’t hv real seasons like western world where u can build ur collection arrnd the summer, winter or spring season collections.

In anycase we need to look beyond monotonous fashion.

yes...but we failed to make research in how to expand African fashion , especially modernising African fashion or blending African cultural attire with modernity.instead we only drop the africanness and embrace western culture
