Agreement was signed in 2013 and all agreed term was met by 2014 with all financial obligations fulfilled. Check your fact again. What you thing should or should not happen doesn't matter. Was all financial obligations fulfilled by last administration? I learnt it was. Correct me with fact and not with your subjective view
Let me Agree with you that all Financial Obligations were fulfilled in 2014, how come the project took 4 years against the 18 months signed?

Continue ur waiting for your change... If we did what we were supposed to do with PDP years back, we wouldn't have been in this mess but you keep giving ourself one kind of hope that things will get better... Now we have this right in front of us making things more difficult than ever but we still giving ourselves hope that he can improve...

Let's show this guy's that they all have 4 years to make things right or else be bundled out
i'm smart enough to know dat change is a gradual proccess and no one possesses magic 2 change everything over night.
A smart wife wnt wait for hubby to change overnight

We gave Pdp 16years to clean d rot left by military, but not only did they fail, instead they made it worse. So nope, i dnt expect a change within 3years.
If apc failed after eight years, then, den i will support another party that is not pdp 2 take their place.

I didn't ask you to agree with me. I stated fact. As for why it started later than expected, you should ask those who play politics. Let me ask you, if you were an investor, will you commit you money to any project with the trial and error economy policies that the government started with? Won't you wait to see which way the wind is blowing? The second Niger bridge is no hold but money have been paid and work commenced until some people in this government decided politics is more important than development.

Most of u making comments dont even stay in Port Harcourt and have never seen the new international airports before now or even know where it is. The old airport is still under construction to complete the arrival section and canopies is still been used at the arrival section. A totally new airport was built some kilometres away from the old one. As at 2015 the new international airport Structure was complete. The old airport will be used for just domestic flights ONLY when completed.

Can you read what you wrote? Blaming this Administration for a project that was supposed to have been completed by the last Administration you claimed paid for the the project? This Administration came on board in 2015 and you said the payment has been made in 2014... What delayed a project for 1 year before they were voted out in May 2015?

Where did I blame anybody? And I did not claim anything in case you missed it. I stated fact. Correct me if I am wrong. Who paid for this project? Stop trying to rationalised because you feel obligated to defend buhari. Was the counterpart funding paid for by the last administration before leaving? Why are you going around in circle? Repeating the same argument as if that will change fact. Or maybe you feel the need to convince yourself. What is delaying the second Niger bridge? Why did the contractors pull out from site after mobilising when this buhari took over? Emotional argument will not help buhari win next year but fact will.

If the counterpart funding was provided by PDP in 2014 and the project was to take 18 months to be completed that means the contractors must move to site immediately.... and the project should be 60-70% before PDP was voted out.... The question i am asking is why is it taking 4 years? I am telling you now that the Contractor was on Site until 2015

So you agreed it was paid for. Over 2trillion naira had need spent on infrastructure by this administration. Can you mention one single project initiated and completed by this government? With 2trillion don't you thing the projects should be visible to all.

Can you answer my question... Your PDP paid $100 Million and they never look back to see how the contract is been carried out... We can see Contractors on site on major roads from SS/SE, SE/SW. and other regions except you want to deny a fact that is clear to see.... I am not saying this Government is better than the previous ones but we when we see something bad we should try and say it the way it is.. No Sentiments

If we see something badhuh Why did work stop in second Niger bridge? Does it make sense for.contractors to pull out of site because a new government is place? The university of petroleum resources faced similar issue unill amaechi was told to shot up. He even had a public disagreement with minister of petroleum (state) at a forum. If you get the answer as to why and how work stopped in second Niger bridge and while ameachi almost stop UPR Effuru maybe you will get your answer why the project was delayed

Dunderheads wish to tell us how this is normal in other parts of the world.
are you by any means calling me dunderheads?
you are just another slowpoke with access to internet.
this is an airport I use and my information was meant for reasonable humans.
you talk about PDP 16yrs,these are airports that were built in the 60s and 70s and ever since nothing has been done in terms of improvements by past military and civilian governments until the time of Odua.
this projects, just like the railway rehabilitation have been on going and to you idiots that said I am lying, you can kiss my ass.

This government is better than previous.

Don't be ashamed to say it because some bullies would shout you down.

Pensioners are receiving their dues, infrastructure is being developed around the nation, young unemployed/underemployed graduates are receiving 30k monthly through Npower, free meals are being given in public schools, Boko Haram has been decimated such that Shekau is as silent as Metuh.

Let's be honest, if successive governments had carried out all these developmental plans all these years, Nigeria would have been a home of joy.

Will you shut up.

You want to make excuses for a party that held power for 16 years but couldn't bring any infrastructure to global standard.

Jonathan on his own had 4 years and a head start but he coudlnt build nada yet you want us to praise him.

Nonsense.

kahal29:
While Changi International Airport, Singapore, was named the best, Port Harcourt International Airport was named the worst international airport in the world for the year 2015.

Of the 10 worst international airports in the world, the Nigerian airport was the only African airport on the list.

In a report published by CNNMoney and released by The Guide to Sleeping in Airports – an internationally respected travel website – the other airports on the list were from Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The survey, which had qualifying responses from 26,297 well-travelled respondents, put Cape Town International Airport, South Africa, as the best airport on the continent.

According to the survey, the Nigerian airport is riddled with unpleasant and unhelpful staff, alleged corruption, a severe lack of seating, broken air-conditioning and the fact that the arrivals hall is loacted inside a tent.

The website said the good news, however, is that “some areas of the terminal have been recently renovated, meaning you can expect actual walls, floors and windows. Though it is a far cry from reasonable, improvements are being made.”

Here are the worst and best airports in the world for 2015, according to the report:

WORST AIRPORTS OF 2015

1. Port Harcourt International Airport (Nigeria)

2. King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)

3. Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu, Nepal)

4. Tashkent International Airport (Uzbekistan)

5. Simon Bolivar International Airport (Caracas, Venezuela)

6. Toussaint Louverture International Airport (Port au Prince, Haiti)

7. Hamid Karzai International Airport (Kabul, Afghanistan)

8. Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

9. Benazir Bhutto International Airport (Islamabad, Pakistan)

10. Beauvais-Tille International Airport (Paris)

Best International Airport for 2015

BEST AIRPORTS OF 2015

1. Changi International Airport (Singapore)

2. Incheon International Airport (Seoul, South Korea)

3. Haneda International Airport (Tokyo, Japan)

4. Taoyuan International Airport (Taipei, Taiwan)

5. Hong Kong International Airport

6. Munich International Airport (Germany)

7. Helsinki International Airport (Finland)

8. Vancouver International Airport (Canada)

9. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Malaysia)

Re: Port Harcourt Airport Named ‘Worst Airport In The World 2015' [Throwback] by hydroking23(m): 12:11pm On Oct 26, 2018
It's obvious some of the PDP supporters are not living in port Harcourt or even reality. From 2008 to 2010 before any construction even started, the domestic and international wings of the ph airport were nothing less than dilapidated buildings. Remember that the airport was closed for almost 2 years prior to this period for construction under PDP. Goodluck came and promised airport renovation.

From 2011to 2014 we waited till we finally got the renovated departure part of the domestic wing, which was actually quite nice. Unfortunately all the money was disbursed and they had not completed the arrival portion of the domestic wing nor did they lay any type of foundation for the international wing. Where did all the money go? Why didn't they finish at least the ENTIRE domestic wing? When you get off the plane in ph you still had to walk past a abandoned crumbled structure to a set of canopies where your luggage is dropped off and unloaded like bags of cement. When it rains you are finished. If you entered the domestic wing during this time you would have noticed the ceiling panels were falling off and the ac stopped working in no less than 5 months after it was commissioned by GEJ. This is a PDP government. Remind you that the international wing did not even have a foundation laid when Buhari was elected.

He's come in and completed and commissioned it and the remaining parts of the domestic wing are under construction as we speak. And yet we should Atikulate when PDP can't even properly build and maintain ordinary airport. Nigerians are truly their worst enemy.

Only insane kids or people with short memory or brain damaged will want those accursed pdp people back.
There is nothing like never again is politics and democracy. Even in the us republicans and democratics go at each other based of outgoing govt performance and not wat another party did 10years ago.

So if ur current performance is disappointing don’t shout never again cos it won’t help u.

These surveys are used to humiliate countries who have no global political and diplomatic clout. Nigeria is easy to humiliate even when the facts are wrong because we never protest or put up fact based arguments.

Western countries use a combination of abuse,, humiliation and bad press to reduce your standing so dealing with the country becomes easier and pitiful.

there are airports in India, Afghan and many other places worse but they don't want to risk diplomatic face-off
