Venom.

Too childish. Studio was stuck between doing a kid friendly movie or going out full gore. They should Have just swallowed the pill and made it R17 with a the blood and guts. It would have made more sense than the piece of crap I watched today. To think I've been waiting for this movie.

Everything was just too cliche. Sony should just back off superhero movies.

P.s this venom definitely would kill spider man but there would be no bleeding since it's R13.

Tom.hardy made the movie watchable as an everyday over sabi good guy with a high level of morality, the bad guy was your typical 80s and 90s bad guy who wants to be God.

The bad symbiote was cool but short lived. Some laughs here and there.

5+/10.
Reading this made me cringe. To think I was going to download the movie next week! angry

Olu4life, I trust your judgement in movies. Is Mile 22 worth the data I used in downloading it?

Incredibles 2, wonder why people in their 20s including myself came around the cinema to see the movie? It was that cool! Math part got me cracking loud. Awesome movie.

Best movie in 2018 even..

I'd rate a 9.99/10 smiley
My favourite scenes were Jack Jack's, especially the Jack vs Racoon scene. He is going to be the most powerful in his family. grin

Even when CR7 and other Madrid stars in the past were around, Madrid still depended on counter attacks to bypass Barca's brilliant ball-retaining midfield that acts like the first line of defence and chokes opposition players. So, Madrid getting dominated by Barca's midfield won't be shocking neither would Madrid's counter attacking. Problem is, with CR7 gone and Bale struggling to stay fit, Madrid may not have the legs to counter Barca anymore.

You're right, this encounter will probably turn into a one-sided borefest in favour of Barca unless Madrid players decide to step up and be counted.
Zidane tutored Real were consistently better in possession, midfield and attacking play than Barcelona in their last 3-4 classico encounters. If my memory serves me well, i think it was in the 2016/2017 season Zidane's Real absolutely bossed Barca in the midfield. Neymar left for PSG the subsequent season, and it only got worse. Yup, they may have consistently won La Liga and Copa del Rey titles, but football-wise, Barca haven't been their old mesmerizing self since the 2015/2016 season, and incidentally, that was the last season they dominated the midfield in El Classicos.

Barca don't play possession based football like they used to, and have adopted a more direct approach since Valvarde took over, but this weekend, we may see Barca totally asserting their midfield superiority over Real since 2015/2016, and it makes me shudder. One sided el classicos are no fun.

Abeg stop derailing the thread.

There is a section dedicated to the discussion of football, no?

My nigga, even with Messi and Ronaldo missing.
I still expect an explosive match because so much is on the line in this match.

You never expected both of them to stick around forever, did you?

What time is the match sef?

Are you guys deaf?
Stop derailing the thread.
Sorry, I won't derail the thread anymore.

There is always a lot at stake in el classico encounters. This one is no different, except that there's a high probability that it's gonna be a borefest.

Okay, i'ma stop derailing the thread now.

The match will kickoff at 15:15 PM GMT on sunday.

Okay, that's all. No more derailing.
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Nobody: 12:01pm On Oct 27, 2018
This thread is strictly for movies discussion.
So let's stick to the script.

How will the movie be a borefest when the Galaticos director's job is on the line and don't forget that the catalans will drop to third on the box office log should they flop at the cinema.

That movie will be action packed.

The Galacticos president will fire the director even if the movie perform very well in the box office this sunday (and I don't expect it to). The Catalans will do better in the box office for sure, so it' practically a shoo in, a formality. But, the predictable plot runs the risk of relegating the movie to a snoozefest. I certainly hope not.
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Nobody: 12:41pm On Oct 27, 2018
Where did you get the information that the director will be fired regardless of the outcome?

Hope you are aware that there aren't too many competent directors on the market?

It's no longer news. A very credible source very close to the movie studio leaked the news. A one time Oscar winning director, Antonio Conte is available, and is a favorite to replace Lopetegui.

Zidane's Real Madrid were only bossed Barca's midfield in two Supercopa matches in 2017/2018 when Valverde was newly appointed and people thought Barca would be in crises ahead of the 2017/2018 season which Barca would win, almost going unbeaten. In those 2 matches, Madrid thrashed and outplayed Barca by 3-1 and 2-0. And thats because Xavi the midfield general was gone and Neymar left for PSG. During the El Classico meeting in the league, Barca dominated them right on their home turf.

Since Pep took over, even when Madrid won, Barca dominated them but Madrid always used the counter of Di Maria, Bale, Benzema and CR7 to bypass them. Playing passing game with Barca is a death wish, unless it's nowadays that Barca have faded a great deal.

I agree with you though, that Barca now uses a more direct approach starting from MSN era and reaching its zenith during Valverde tenure. But before Valverde, Madrid or any other club for that matter hardly dominated Barca.

I can't recall the season, but Pep tutored Bayern outplayed Barca in two legged encounters, in the UCL, but ultimately lost because, Messi.

Either way, the movie premiering on Sunday will determine if the Catalan studio will lead the box office by season's end, or If the Galactico Cinematic Universe can cause an upset and win the Oscar by next year. cheesy

Mile 22-

What a gorefest! cheesy

Great acting from Mark Wahlberg. I kept howling and shrieking throughout the duration of the movie, to the extent my sib had to excuse himself because I was making too much noise.

8/10 biko, for graphic violence and a jawdropping, toe curling climax. Double entendre intended. grin

The Galacticos won 4 oscars in a period of 5 years, but before we can see them as 2018/2019 serious contenders, they will have to outperform the Catalans tomorrow, and I'm fairly certain the Catalans will dominate the box office tomorrow.
