Which will u prefer as ur only car. 2001 Toyota Camry or 2001 Toyota Sienna XLE.

Pls consider the following:

1. Fuel efficiency

2. Cost of spare parts (engine, gear box, shock absorbers etc)

3. Long distance trips

4. Availability of spare parts

5. Second hand value

1) a 4 cylinder camry is definitely more fuel efficient than the v6 sienna, tho from experience of users ( i dont drive one now, but i kno many people who do), the sienna is OK fuel economy wise. & if u do long distance with it, definitely, ur fulll tank will really last.
Here - Camry (4cylinder) *V6 camry & V6 sienna fuel consumption should be around the same i blive. Not much difference*.



2) Na Toyota be dem two na. I doubt they'll be expensive. & they are readily available na, plus both cars are very durable & if well taken care of, may not give issues warranting replacement of parts, except periodic essentials like fuel & oil filter.


3) Long distance, well, i cant imagine travelling with a 4 cylinder when I have d choice of a 6 cylinder. So, here, it's either a V6 camry or the sienna.

5) i believe both have good 2nd hand value, coz both vehicles are in high demand.

So, the choice is ur's. The Sienna is very useful if you have a family obviously, & has higher ground clearance than the camry. Plus the engine sound is like sweet music especially when u r accelerating

The 2001camry is really cool too. I dont even have to start praising it. But then, if they are bad roads in ur area, u may become a regular customer at the alignment fixing & shock absorber seller's place. If you'll be doin a lot of long distance, then abeg go for the V6. U'll never regret it.
if however, u spend a lot of time in Lagos traffic, then abeg, just buy yourself a 2.2 litre 4 cylinder camry jeje, so u won't spend a fortune on fuel.

Then, tho it might be unfair to compare a car and a minivan aesthetically, i think the 2001 (especially 2002, 2003) Sienna XLE looks better than even the Camry XLE.

The choice is ur's. Consider your travelling needs, traffic, condition of roads in ur area e.t.c. & make ur decision.

Has anyone had a terrible experience in maintaining a sienna or a camry

Why do people like dis Sienna car? Its rather rampant here in Port Harcourt and I always wonder why, I can't see myself buying one.

Probably cos many people are buying it.

If ur single go for the Camry but if u have a family the Sienna is a better option for u. Their maintainace depends on the engine size and the way u use it. The both of them have good second hand value.

NB: I don't prefer any of them because I don't do Japanese cars. Rich people drive German, American or British cars. Please choose wisely...respect!!!
