This week has been nice to me, movie-wise, whether it's TV series or films, I even ended up enjoying Wedding Party 2 more than its predecessor. Strange, I know. Not a single bad movie in all the collection I watched. Now I'm going to round it up with Alpha, Been So Long & Christopher Robin, with all having great reviews. I just hope the 3 movies quiet live up to their encouraging reviews and don't ruin a perfect movie week for me.

I'm skeptical about watching Papillion. I don't want to end a great run of good movies with a movie I'm not too keen on seeing. I'll replace it with Brawl In Cell Block 99.

This weekend is gonna be lit alongside the football activities across the major 5 leagues in Europe. Not forgetting the almighty El Classico. Cheers to the freaking weekend already. I'm salivating!! cheesy cheesy

Mile 22.

The movie is a good action movie. However, it is nothing exceptional because the plot is something we have see many times. An asset (important person) has to be moved by a special force (Police/CIA/FBI) from point A-B, which is in hostile territory.

For example, a similar plot is seen in 16 blocks. Both movies are titled based on the distance the protagonists have to travel across hostile territory.

Uko Uwais is a great action movie star. The guy can fight. The movie's fight scenes were great because of him. In fact, there is an element of the raid in the movie.

In summary, the movie is a mixture of 16 blocks and the raid.

Final rating; 7/10

NB- I actually watched the movie last week but didnt remember/have time to review it

Mehn that movie gave me the creeps. The guy had a well-horned instinct, and his suspicion ultimately saved him and his girlfriend from getting poisoned by crazed ex-wife and friends. But the scene that gave me the creeps was when he and the girlfriend survived from getting murdered, and stumbles out of the house, only to realize that the whole neighborhood is a huge cult commune, and were all partaking in the murder-suicide ritual that they barely walked away from! shocked
Haha... The movie is fvcking crazy mehn, the slow build of tension, these are the kind of movies one would expect to watch, did you notice the movie was shot in just 2 settings, A low budget movie with extraordinary content.

I watched that movie 5times and I'm not still tired of watching it, from the first time I saw that big tall guy I knew there was something ulterior cooking, but then when Choy (the Asian guy) finally arrived I became a bit skeptical too and started seeing the main actors perceptions as just his mind playing tricks with him.. Lol

Then it struck, his perceptions turned out to be correct afterall, I just admired the guy(Will) through out the movie, his demeanor was composed and reserved through out the movie, he was simply intriguing.

Why don't they make these kinda movies more often, we need more movies with Content cool

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Low budget movies use subtle nuances like intelligent dialogue, facial cues, body language and brilliant camera work to primarily advance their plot lines, and when the filming is well executed, the result is often memorable and mind blowing.

They do, you just have to find them. Have you seen Coherence? It's another low budget movie with simple settings similar to The Invitation, just as dark, but with a more thrilling plot line that has a sci-fi undertone.

I'll have to check that out... I also thought 'the witch' and 'phonebooth' fit into that category, it's true that these movies are there but they are highly underrated hence they wallow in oblivion. sad

Why would you ask such a question? Is it because I did not mention the triple agent twist? huh

People have reviewed the movie with less facts and you didnt question them.

Martin McDonagh wrote and directed In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing....

I probably didn't question them because I just saw the movie yesterday night.
And yeah, when you leave out a crucial part of the movie in order to label it generic, I feel compelled to question you.

No worries.

But I still feel that the movie has no originality. The action and pacing were excellent, though. Well executed.

Na. Not sure. That award will go to someone else. Probably Christian 'the chameleon' Bale for Vice.

Mile 22 is an average piece of crap.
It lacks content and reeks of poor storytelling (too many loose ends from start to finish).

So what with the triple agent twisthuh

I heard that this is the first part of a multiple release.
So fingers crossed on the sequel.

This first part no be am at all.

5.5/10

An emotional rollercoaster historical adventure movie. The storyline is emotional and educative. Definitely in my top 10 movies of the year.

The movie was a "feel good" story with creative storytelling.

We liked the creativity with the use of screens to tell the story and the clever depiction of how we use social media in real life.

It is simple and relatable.

It seems everyone had a good weekend with different hyped movies to watch!

.......except for real madrid, who found themselves in a horror movie where they were the victims of barca sharpshooter squad. 5-1! Damn!! shocked
