A drama ensued this morning in Awka, the capital city of Anambra state as a thief was caught in the act after getting his hand stuck in a fuel tank. 

According to reports, the young man who is notorious for stealing fuel/diesel from residents’ vehicles and generators - was "mysteriously" trapped in the course of the latest operation.

While others have attributed the incident to the alleged charm/'juju', others have argued that the thief got trapped after inserting his hand deep into the fuel tank.

The incident attracted large number of residents who gathered at the scene to see the trapped thief.

He demanded for a car he couldn't afford and so much money for Christmas. I expected him to be patient enough and work on his finances first before thinking of such a money gulping responsibility but NO! He was always praying for a car so i punished him.

I don't understand this stealing, he had to put his hand into the fuel tank to steal the fuel. This news isn't complete.

That tank was supplying fuel to a native doctor generator who was having a consultation with the ancestors when the thief came to steal fuel
