Catalyst Converter Good Or Bad News For Peugeot 406 by franklin93(op): 11:26am On Nov 02, 2018
Hello guys,

I recently bought a peugeot 406 ew10 & found out it still had the catalyst converter intact. I don't know if I should be happy about that or not considering vehicle performance & fuel economy. I will like to know if the presence of the cat will hurt my mpg or improve it.

Your expert suggestions will be appreciated pls.

Leave the indomie that is what gives you better mileage on your fuel

I'm not aware catalytic converter has any effect on fuel consumption. It's only duty is to convert harmful and environmentally damaging engine emissions into less harmful ones. What causes low mileage is leaky exhaust.
